Miscellaneous Street - The Soap Opera

Aha! Found it!

Can I have a small coffee shoppe/cafe on Central between Neutral Road and Miscellaneous Street - but, a little closer to Neutral Road - maybe facing Neutral Road, with a back door open to a big yard that fronts on Miscellaneous Street.

Also, can I have a liquor license so I can sell drinks on Friday and Saturday nights when we have small local bands play?

Karaoke ..., small bands ..., it's all the same, right?

^They were addressed to you. For some reason, the postal person seems to enjoy dropping other people's mail on my doorstep. For instance, I just received RJ's fire insurance check.

Who is this postal person? He / she needs a random injection just for deliberately delivering post to the wrong people. Does anyone speak to this person?

The postman is J Allen but I haven't seen him in this thread for a while. I think that real life is very hectic for him at the moment.

Hippy Lady didn't mind the lack of a postman. She could do without the bills, court orders, Reader's Digest crap, and other bad things. What did worry her was, if the postman hadn't been around for a few days, where were those letters actually coming from?

She wanders back towards home with some veggie lasagnas and salads for tea. She had no plans to go to the karaoke night. Apart from the fact that Daniel would be there (though, really, she was forgetting about him already. She was good at that kind of thing), chances are they wouldn't have any Fairground Attraction songs or The Age of Aquarius anyway. No one appreciated good music these days.

You didn't offend anyone - I only wanted to explain our postman's disappearance.

Hopefully he will return soon.

^^ No one was offended. :) We are concerned about the erratic mail deliveries, though. I suspect it is all part of some Vampiric plot.

Thank goodness. I've been waiting for that.

BTW, the deli is closed today. It's Sunday. The painting crew is also here painting the walls burgundy with cream trim.
Damn. I'd love some more of that pastrami.

You can bring your own CD! Put it in and it downloads karaoke versions and lyrics from the internet! Nothing's off limits! Nothing! (*suddenly imagines a karaoke version of Nine Inch Nails "Closer"*)

*Heads up into the attic and drags down 9 boxes of decorations. Sets himself up at a table in the deli with a mug of Hot Chocolate and starts testing all the lights as there are three large boxes of just lights.*

* Activates reversal spell on the six elves in suspended animation down in the sub-basement. *

Karaoke night is tommorow night (actually it's an all-day, all-night thing), and almost everything is ready.

Daniel is slumped in a corner, exhausted from the back-breaking effort he went to to get everything ready in time (not to mention last night's uh... agressive reunion celebration with Jenee). Unable to stay coherent any longer, he falls asleep... zzzzzzzzzzzz

Jenee helps Daniel to bed. She's not even sure he was awake while she half carried him up the steps. After ensuring he's clean and comfortable, she notices the neighbors putting up holiday lights and other ornaments. She quietly climbs the attic stairs and begins sorting through her own treasures of holidays past.

With this Karaoke night thingy - can I bring my bring my singing cats. They do a very good rendition of MacArthur's Park.
