They say that family is the most important thing. In honour of Family Day today, our theme will be all about families. Your entry can be about what family means to you, images of things families do together, or even images of famous families. The only restriction is that there are no media images--so no fictional families. (Please note there is no requirement to post images of your actual family!) Families take many different forms, and images of all these forms are welcome... even if the "family" members aren't technically related. Of course, some families are dysfunctional, or even estranged, so you are OK to enter images around those themes too. Standard avatar contest rules apply: images must be no more than 200 x 200 pixels, no larger than 1 MB, and of course must be SFW. Each entrant may enter up to two avatars. Contest will be open for about a week. Have fun!
Two questions: 1. Do the families have to be human? 2. What about media depictions of historical families (they're famous)?
Not at all. All forms of families are OK, including animals or plants. Images from news or documentary media would be OK for that, but fictionalized or dramatized media would not be. (For example, you couldn't use an image from The Crown to represent the royal family.)
this reminds me of how dysfunctional my entire family system really is... --- it is important for me not to bring my childhood family situations into my adult life.. by reacting to my childhood triggers from my family insest or my family crulty --- it is over... the memories are there and the scars, but --- I need not continue these learned behaviours from my dysfunction childhood being raised by addicts and alcoholics and sex addicts--- it is a horrible experience that was that - I am well but my childhood was out of my control-- I need not suffer from these leftover reactions to my childhood. I don't think I would change my avatar to this but --- it is avatar size-
