We're well into December, so let's festive this place up!

The theme for this contest is holiday & special occasion decorations. From restrained to ostentatious, tasteful to tacky... anything is acceptable! It can be for any holiday or special occasion, celebrated at any time and anywhere in the world, as long as there are decorations involved!

Entries should be a maximum size of 200 x 200, and up to 1 MB if animated. No media sources, with the exception that images taken from news programs are OK.

Contest will be open for about a week. Have fun!

Here's my entry. The Christmas tree that Norway gives to the UK every year since the second world war which is placed in Trafalgar Square. In the background is the National Gallery and the foreground is a Crib showing the traditional scene.

Every year our local science center puts on an amazing lights display which only keeps getting bigger and bigger each year. This is only a small sample of a particular section, and the Avatar doesn't really do it justice, so I'm also including the bigger picture so you can all see it in better detail.
