Mirror Universe Janeway

Huh? I just re-read the first one, and don't recall that at all. There's only a mention or two of the Borg in the first book to boot.

Well, I read it 15 years ago, so my memories are scarred in.

If Kirk got control of the collective he would so write his name in cubes across the stars.

I read the first one which compared Borg cubes to lego bricks that assemble together to create huge geometric shapes/patterns rather than fly in formation.

It came off as ego stroking and I couldn't go any further.

I think he's talking about The Return, not the first part of the MU saga. But honestly, the Borg hypercube is in the same realm of dumb as the Borg supercube from the current novel continuity.

^ That would make sense. Yeah, as much as the MU trilogy kicks ass, I'm not at all interested in a story of how the Borg resurrect Kirk in order to harness the universal constant that is his awesome. He died in Generations, he got better, and the MU books start a few years later. And they only very vaguely and rarely mention the Return events at all.

It's not because they're pretty, it's because they're assholes.

Emotionally Hideous, ethically unbound women are just hotter.

Even though she's green with a chin you can hang a coat on, Elphaba is still way sexier than Glinda in the 1939 flick.

She was a thief and an assassin working for the evil empire who kept Brunt around as a toy even though she knew he was deeply in love with and she could never return the sentiments.

And the eye shadow, lets not forget about the eye shadow.

MU Janeway would be a frightened mouse of a woman serving the Intendent as her personal taste tester as a last line of defense to detect poisons in MU Kira's food, a job Janeway inherited when she lost her post as the Intendent's personal chef.

:p

At least she probably wouldn't be a caffiene addict. IIRC, it was more than once she almost killed a sentient stellar object just to get enough energy for coffee.

Kinda makes you wonder why she had so little understanding for Capt Ransom and the Equinox, I guess maybe she woulda been had he mentioned having caffeine withdrawls

:p ;)

Ransom and his crew all detoxed cold turkey off caffeine after the Replicators ran out of sauce.

That's why they seemed so mellow while they were treasonously conspiring to sell Janeway up the river.

Seriously.

It's like they were asleep.

Mirror Universe KJ is regular Universe Neelix?

What an unusual thing to say J-Rulz!

Why unusual?

MU is opposite of what we expect from the fearless, driven woman who can't get a replicator to spit out a decent cup of coffee much less a pot roast.

Anyway, all the "good" jobs are taken.

Kira was the witch in charge, Worf held her leash, she held Sisko's leash for a time before he turned [or our Sisko turned] rebel, and IIRC even Tuvok was in the MU resistance so we know she never had to follow him into the badlands/DQ.

Never saw the last one (or 2?) DS9 MU's. :(

ETA: In the MU stories aren't the MU versions often replaced by the "real" versions? So wouldn't we want OUR Janeway in the position of power... next to the evil Intendent? :p

There was some comical substitution.

How can you not want to watch an episode called "The Emperor's New Cloak"?

That's like the only justification for punning ever.
