Kirk: You don't have to do that.

MARLENA: Are you feeling sorry for me? Do I see hesitation in your eyes about anything? I want one thing, Captain. Transfer me. On the Enterprise, I am humiliated! (Kirk passionately kisses Marlena, leading her to realize something's odd)

Kirk leaves and goes to a turbo lift.
Kirk: Uhura?

 

[Leandar]

Uhura: Yes, Captain?

 

[Vanyel]

Kirk: Scotty's signal should be coming through any moment now. You know what to do.

 

[Leandar]

Uhura: I've got a pretty good idea, sir.

 

[Vanyel]

Kirk: Keep Sulu's attention off that board.

 

[Leandar]

Uhura: I'll do my best, sir.

 

[Vanyel]

[Leandar]

(In a Jeffries Tube, Scotty and McCoy continue working. When they reach a critical point, Scotty activates his communicator and sends Uhura his signal. She removes her earpiece and walks down to Sulu at the helm/security board)

Uhura: You aren't very persistent, Mr. Sulu. The game has rules, you're ignoring them. I protest... and you come back. You didn't come... back.

SULU: (wrapping his arms around her naked waist) Now you're making sense.

 

[Vanyel]

Uhura: I was getting bored. Of course this isn't the time.
