This has probably been posted somewhere else so I'm sorry if it has been already.

BBC said:
The BBC has confirmed that Michelle Ryan and Lee Evans will guest star in the forthcoming Doctor Who Easter Special which began filming this week in Wales.
Michelle, best known for her roles as Zoe Slater in EastEnders, and Jaime Sommers in the recent remake of Bionic Woman, will play the mysterious Lady Christina de Souza in the special episode entitled Planet of the Dead. Christina joins the Doctor on a bus-trip which takes a very unexpected detour into danger.
"I'm a huge fan of Doctor Who and very excited to be joining David Tennant and the Doctor Who team," said Michelle, who recently guest-starred in the hit BBC Wales drama Merlin. "It is such a fantastic show and I can't wait to get started!"
One of Britain's best loved and biggest comedy stars, Lee Evans, will also be joining the cast playing a character called Malcolm, whose life becomes connected to the Doctor's under extraordinary circumstances.
Planet of the Dead is the first of four Doctor Who Specials which will air in 2009. Michelle joins David Tennant as he continues his role as The Doctor, and Noma Dumezweni who returns as Captain Erisa Magambo - last seen helping Rose and Donna save the world in Turn Left.
"Michelle is one of the most sought after young actors in the country and we are delighted to announce that she will be joining the team," said Executive Producer and writer Russell T Davies. "As always the script is being kept strictly under wraps - however we can reveal that Lady Christina is a woman with a mysterious past who's going to have a huge impact on the Doctor!"
Planet of the Dead, written by Russell T Davies and Gareth Roberts, is currently in production and will be screened on BBC One in Spring 2009.

I love Lee Evans and I think it will be interesting to see him as a guest star in Doctor Who, if anyone has ever seen any live act he has ever done, the character 'Malcolm' is always an in-joke of his, so it'll be interesting to see!

Also could Lady Christina be Professor River Song? Probably not but it would be nice to think so.

Honestly not trying to be funny but there's a POTD thread with nearly 200 posts in it already. Why not check that one first?

I'm not really a fan of Lee Evans so I'm tending towards being skeptical of it getting 10/10 from me, but here's to hoping.

I didn't watch Bionic Woman (might have to track an ep or two down now) to see how well she acts.

watch Merlin on NBC when it starts. she has a recurring role.

She's great in Merlin, but Bionic Woman was terrible.

Not really her fault. such a wasted oportunity that show, I always wonder, I mean I'm sure nobody goes out of their way to make a half-arsed show maybe it just happens!

Making her ultra skinny and giving her an American accent didn't do much to enhance her hottness either!

Um... why?
Yeah, that made no sense to me either. Might as well ask if Bannakaffalatta could have been Professor River Song. :p
 this is a Doctor Who forum, I think its somewhere in the rules that you have to ask if any new character/actor is another character, that is certianly the case with the Rani.

Whilst this forum is slack on the above rule, there are plenty that take it very seriously.

Michelle Ryan is frikkin awesome, and a hottie.

Was anyone else disapointed when they clicked on this and it wasn't a movie?
I know it's the Doctor Who forum but it doesn't show that from the main board.

:(

It reminds me of my time on OG when Death Comes to Time was coming out, and everyone was trying to figure out who the Minister of Chance was, who General Tannis was, who Casmus was. "Minister" sounds vaguely like "Master" after all.

Yet no one ever guessed the true identity of Mister Seta...

I dunno, I just like to think as it said she would have great impact on the Doctor. With little time left with Tennant, I thought it would be nice for it to be River.

I shouldnt criticise I thought Billis was the Master, shows what do I know.

have you ever been on the 11th Doctor Matt Smith forum, there is some shit scary stuff on that forum, one thread I even complained about, and nothing happened.

I only go into the New Series fora on a strategic strike. I hit the Canterbury Spoiler Summary and then get the heck out of there.

That wasn't a terrible assumption to make though, Wamdue. Heck I had a sneaking suspicion that River Song was actually Jack!
