I can't say that i noticed Phelps' resemblance to Stonn before, but his triangular shaped head does remind me of how Bill Everett drew the Sub-Mariner. Maybe some acting lessons and some pointed ears?

Which I never understood. Yeah, they supposedly granted him the power of flight like the sandals from Greek mythology, but since he's the Sub-MARINER, wouldn't enchanted little fish fins match the theme better?

Ohgodno. Just no. As dorky as I always thought Stonn was, he is MUCH better-looking than Michael Phelps.

Mind you... the weapons of choice would have to include a trident. And Kirk would obviously have to die by drowning...
