MemoryAlpha editor refuses to change Adira's Gender to "Non-Binary"

Incel as a term(like The Wormhole explained) has evolved outside of just being Involuntary celibate, and is (rightfully) associated with misogynistic assholes.

Ok so maybe the term is just inadequate...

I for one only know of people who have trouble relating to others and that's why they can't get people to want to sleep with them. It sometimes makes them very sad.

...
No one is making fun of people who have legitimate health issues preventing them from having sex, or people who are too shy or socially awkward to score a date

Well, I am glad to hear that.

And it's true that I didn't know what incel means...

They don't have to identify as a Involuntary celibate or Incel.

It's an ironic title. They're considered involuntary because they didn't choose to take an oath of celibacy, they simply are such colossal assholes no one in their right mind would want to have sex with them.

But they're all involuntary celibates. In fact, everyone ever is an involuntary celibate up until the point they lose their celibacy or decide to keep it voluntarily.

Arguing over involuntary celibacy and social justice warriors is the same argument, just from a different lens. A group of toxic people calling themselves "incels" (and they probably aren't involuntary if they choose to identify as such), doesn't negate the fact that the original feminist incels are still around (almost certainly a silent majority), they just are drowned out by the toxic ones and the fact that nobody acknowledges them and treats "incels" as an evil insulting group instead of a blanket term that refers to everybody in the world at some point in their lives.

On Earth. The universe is really fucking big by all accounts, so I wouldn't be surprised if there are others really similar to us out there, somewhere.

There's something called the genetic drift. When two groups of the same species are separated for some time, their DNA drift apart to a point where they become two different species. You can measure the time they were separated by how different their DNA is. The likelihood of two different species with NO common ancestor having a DNA close enough to be able to copulate is about the same as having an alien language identical to English and some alien being having written independently all the plays of Shakespeare.

I mean it's ridiculously improbable.

Humans are very inventive when it come to sex and fucking. If we run into someone similar, we'll figure out a way to have sex with them.

Why would they be similar? As I said, the only species vaguely similar are related to us.

Do you think we can copulate with an octopus, a bat, or a crocodile? I mean if there is alien life, they'll likely be even more different from us than these.

"Likely" is a huge hedge. We simply don't know what form sentient alien life will take. If they come from a planet of similar makeup and gravity as Earth, whose to say they may not evolve in a similar manner?

Bats are out because of the size differential. We should stick to species of approximately the correct size.

Your examples of people behaving in a manner that resulted in consequences. You aren’t entitled to a job and they can fire you for any reason. That’s how the world works.
That's a very heartless attitude to take about people losing their livelihoods. In some of those examples, people were misunderstood or were taking a stand against anti-white racism or were in a bad headspace at the time or were young and ignorant when the comments were made. No one deserves to lose their jobs for these reasons.

Bullshit. People are responsible for their actions.

If we ever discover humanoid alien life, it will be absolute proof that some form of intelligent design exists.

Personally, I don't like this constant labeling of people. Why can't people be a little of each for example, or change their minds about the whole thing at some point in their lives? If people identify with a certain sexual identity, fine but for those who don't they shouldn't have a sexual identity shoved down their throat.

For example, we see Kirk in one of the trek movies (I don't remember which one) with two alien twin girls with tails... Maybe that's not the only tails they have, for all we know they are ???? and Kirk is bi. Although the weirdest part is really sleeping with someone of another species... We're really not meant to do that.
What the fuck do you mean by shoved down your throats? It’s just saying a group exists. You’re saying fine with people being gay or trans but you never want to see any or hear anyone mention them at all. You live in reality, gay people and trans people exist and have just as much right to do whatever they want like you do. You have to learn to live with people who live and think differently than you do because you can’t handle anyone not being exactly like you being something that has to go through your brain at some point.

And labels aren’t for you, it’s for someone to identify themselves as. So they know there are other people like them. You just don’t want to think about the fact that you aren’t the default, you just a kind of human just like all the others.
