Nah, he's a full-on companion, and was in that poll. I guess if he appears in the Moffat era, he would be considered a recurring character.

I went with River Song, but I am curious why "Martha's Mother" is seperate from "Martha's Family".

Cause I didn't want to list her Dad, sister, brother, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, and step-mother/father's girlfriend separately. And her mother stood out from that pack as appearing solo a couple of times. Thus, the distinction...

I never got what was so great about Wilf. He's just some old duffer. I mean, he's not a complete embarrassment of a character like Donna, but I don't see why he's all that.

I loved River in her first appearance, but her return appearances were way too snotty and overly confident. I'm still fascinated by the character but I'm a little annoyed by her portrayal now.

Gotta give props to the Brig, though River is coming up awfully fast. And if we'd had votes for second and third, I'd have Wilf to show.
