FYI my preorder in Canada was never cancelled, for whatever that's worth (and I struggled mightily with spending $50 on a toy to begin with, but this thing looks awesome).
Is there a release date attached to the pre-order?
sad that this product was cancelled due to stupid toy gun laws...
Those laws have been around for a while and other companies have done just fine. McFarlane must have missed something vital about them to have to halt production.sad that this product was cancelled due to stupid toy gun laws...

If airsoft companies can get around it in California, and still make them, I would like to think McFarlane could as well. But, I may be in error. They claim they don't want to ruin the integrity of the design.
And it's not even like it's a toy version of a real gun -- it's a Star Trek phaser! How dare we want cops to be able to recognize the difference between a toy and real gun from a distance?!? It is a librul conspiracy!!!![]()
Yeah, but it is still a similar shape to a pistol, and from a certain distance you wouldn't be able to tell. And it's not even like it's a toy version of a real gun -- it's a Star Trek phaser!
