McCarthy's Generations score -- question

I recall reading that the End Credits wre originally the main credits, and for Kirk's orbital jump.

That makes me wonder: did he do something else for the end credits that was replaced?

I'm hoping maybe someone who worked on the film would know, since some people from various postions in hte franchise post here occassionally.

Interesting about the end credits being switched. I wonder if after the original title piece was put at the end, it was reworked somehow. It is very triumphant sounding. The actual end credits better captures the floating champagne bottle through space.

Funny, I like the opening credits as they exist far better than the end credits would work in the beginning. It's kind of an eerie sounding track, and a nice change of pace from the six previous main titles.

You got it wrong, Hirogen Alpha; the music was to be set to the cut Kirk sydying scene, you can watch HERE.

And as I think the music used for the champaign is too solomn for end credits, I don't think that was switched out but rather created after the change. So I was wondering if they replaced an already existing end credits music with the music from the cut scene.
