Maybe it was sarcasm.
You realize that the characters will all have dialogue and that what's being used are small lines for the trailers, right? That they won't always be speaking in small one-liners?

Do like the bigger size though. More in line with the Ceritos one.

Sickboy looks really cool. These little character introductions are cute as well.
However, we all know if the show doesn't look exactly like everything in the pilot, we're storming Paramount's studio with pitchforks.

Also good to see that he's also wearing the "proper" Scienes insignia, not the Disco-style badge with a cross.
Nothing stated definitively, but it's implied to be a few hundred years, since Phlox's grandmother was alive in the twentieth century. Although not canon, the Picard Autobiography was written by one of Enterprise's staff writers, David Goldman, and he had Phlox alive in the 24th century.
The badge with the cross was seen in TOS, it was worn by Chapel.
Discovery still has not mastered giving its characters authentic, individual voices, so forgive me if I express concern about the fairly terrible dialogue in some of the other teasers. There’s really no need to be rude and patronizing.
This looked really good. I'm digging the SNW set design, it's giving me those 2009 vibes. A good update/reboot of TOS. Weird that M'Benga is CMO and a full commander but apparently gets demoted in favour of McCoy. Perhaps they'll retcon them to joint CMOs when McCoy inevitably arrives in season 3.
I just hope the stories are good. Which... may or may not be the case. I know it's a different team of writers and producers to Enterprise, but those first 2 seasons left scars. We need more than The Orville's TOS/TNG 'memberberries (Roddenberries?) to make this as good as it can be.

Yes of course, I totally blanked on Owo.
Who say he'll get demoted? Maybe he steps down on his own accord for some reason.
Maybe the stress of being in charge of an entire ship's crew. Maybe he wants to focus on medical research. There's a lot of possibilities.
