Whenever anyone is able to create something on this scale, I'm not sure what I marvel most at: the ingenuity to conceive, design and execute the model, the the insane amount of time, energy and dedication to pull it off?!?!

I'd either be cross-eyed & insane (well, moreso than normal), or that thing would've gone for a flying lesson at some point.

In seriousness, though, the sheer level of detail is incredible. I can't imagine the amount of effort that went into it.

I bet the population of Minas Tirith is the fittest anywhere, without even needing a gym in the city. All that climbing just to get anywhere.

That's only four hours from here. Might be worth a trip some weekend.

eta: sorry, I just noticed it's an entire museum of models like this - that makes more sense.

Not just for that ... In June, I'll be going to an event with Charlaine Harris that's in Cedar Rapids ... This place is basically on the way there, so that's doable.
