My first interest in the game was after a Video Games Live concert where they played the theme and I instantly became interested. I however do not own an X-Box and didn't plan on getting one so I looked into the PC version. However, I read so many negative comments about the security features on the game that I was dissuaded from getting it.
I eventually reached a point where I was pretty sure I wasn't going to get the game but was interested in the games plot and so watched a Gametrailers video that summed up the story... Now I'm kicking myself because I decided to get the PC version and am wondering if I'm still going to have the same excitement from playing it that I otherwise would have.
I don't remember every single detail of the plot but I remember things like the big bad alien race building the Citadel and periodically coming back to wipe out all advanced alien races... I remember seeing the end video of fighting Saren or getting him to commit suicide and then Sheperd surviving, choosing who he wants to have sit on the council, and then going off to prepare for the fight ahead. So, my question is, have I totally spoiled the experience of the story of Mass Effect? Are there more details to look forward to than what I stated above? Make me feel better guys! Despite the details I've posted, please make posts spoiler-free.
