I'm a little surprised Star Trek isn't up there, I know none of them were huge hits, but I would have thought 13 movies would have been enough to get it to those kind of numbers.

the mcu movies universe of coruse are multi billionaires because the mcu never stopped making there movies and the mcu have been making tons of movies since 2008

i am kinda surprised that the xenomorph alien universe is not on that list and they have made movies since 1979 althought they did have many pit stops and breaks over the years

same with the predator universe and they have been making movies since 1987 althought they also had many pit stops and breaks over the years too

The reasons are the same as Star Trek: none of them surpassed $500 million at the box office. Most were made with low to medium budgets for their time. Star Trek is the same.

I'm not at all surprised they're not on their, both franchises haven't released that many movies and none of them have been that popular.

The reason they canceled it becomes clear when you look at this news. They're reducing expensive Marvel and Star Wars productions while tripling the production of cheaper international content.

They said last year they were also counting down on the number of shows and movies. I think it was maybe 3 movies and 2 shows a year or something like that. Well they already have two shows slotted in Daredevil season 3 and Visionquest. This is also not counting X-Men 97. Perhaps they could bring back Wonder Man the following year but I doubt they would. Next shows will likely be X-men related.

Even if they started work on the show now it would be at least two years away. Compared to every other Marvel show I would assume it's one of the cheaper ones since it has little in terms of superhero actions and effects.
