My old cinema used to turn off the screen shortly after the credits started, usually when everyone had left. Hated that. Especially when there were films that had scenes playing over the end credits like 'School of Rock'. Granted, I was the only person left but all that changed when Marvel started doing post credit scenes and annoyed parents had to ask staff to restart the credits because their kids wanted to see the post credits scene. Thank you Marvel.
When I saw Days of Future Past the lights came back on during the credits.

Yeah, one of my theaters (NCG) sometimes turns on the floodlights during the credits, but at least turns them off for post-credits scenes. Really obnoxious.

If I saw a movie with one particular friend we would always try to make impromptu jokes based on some of the names.
My friend and I were pretty annoying when we were young. We'd comment on the opening credits, making shit up about the people nobody else in the theater knew or cared about.

I've got another one. How about buying tickets? If I wanted tickets for a movie I had to buy it at the concession stand which meant standing in line with everyone who was waiting to buy snacks too.

I think I dealt with a theater like that before, possibly during college which was a small town on the border of Indiana and Ohio. Usually those lines weren't too bad at least.
