Sure, because Sony was able to put him to so much better use.
Makes sense though. At the time they were still hoping their Spiderman without Spiderman universe would be successful and had plans for their own Kraven movie.

And Spiderman No Way Home was going to feature Kraven too.Makes sense though. At the time they were still hoping their Spiderman without Spiderman universe would be successful and had plans for their own Kraven movie.
I'm sure money would have changed hands. Why would Sony license characters that they control out for movies they wouldn't profit from?

That looks like a lot of fun! I can't wait.

Sony going to Sony.Sure, because Sony was able to put him to so much better use.

They would have made more money licensing Kraven out to Marvel than they did on the Kraven movie. Why would Sony license characters that they control out for movies they wouldn't profit from?

I very much doubt that any Licensing fee that Sony would have charged would've come anywhere close to being 62 million dollars.
They spent over 100m making the movie and God knows how much to market it.
If the licensing fee was 5 cents Sony would've still come out ahead financially by just letting someone else make a movie instead.
That isn't how money works, but sure.
If they go that route, maybe that could switch it up to Namor/Reed.From the love of God, please avoid the whole love triangle thing with Namor and Sue.
Oh right, I forgot about that. There's the bit we've seen in the past two trailers where he looks furtive when he's asked to sign a form confirming he doesn't have superpowers. It's pretty clear that he does have powers but signs the form anyway, hiding his powers so he can get the part. (Though I'm curious why the production would insist on a no-powers clause. You'd think they'd be happy to cast a powered individual to play Wonder Man, since it would save plenty on VFX costs.)
They just posted some stuff on social media about Hollywood banning all people with powers, so it's not just Wonder Man, it's everything being produced there.

That sounds like a perfect excuse to have LA-based, superhero lawyer She-Hulk show up. I doubt she will, though.
It should be noted that The Doorman is a Wonder Man villain and will be appearing in the show. I hadn't heard of him until I saw him listed in the Wikipedia article (with a source). Seeing his name on that newspaper certainly provides context regarding the ban.Yeah, I was a little surprised by that too. I'm wondering if perhaps there was some kind of disaster on a movie or TV set that freaked people out.
Here's the post about it on IG, I was being lazy before, but since the conversation is getting deeper here it is.

I would love for that to happen, but I agree it's unlikely. This is actually the best use of the character going forward. Make her the legal equivalent of Night Nurse.
