Yup, I thought of her, too. And after reading about Coogler's original script for Black Panther 2, I can't help but wonder if Toussaint/T'Challa II would also be in the mix had that version of the film been made. As is, that direction wouldn't make as much sense, especially without Chadwick Boseman.
Still, I'm uneasy of this apparent direction, but I'll hold off judgment (what?!??!!?!) until we have a better sense of what Doomsday is actually about in February.

Would Doom be collecting children or could he be searching for a child? We know he eventually finds Franklin. Maybe he's following some mystic clue about "the child of a hero" or some such.
That's possible. Assuming this is some version of the lead up to the Secret War version of Battleworld then Franklin would be a key component.
If they have a scene where all the kids are gathered around and crying while RDJ Doom is walking back and forth like a common kidnapper I'm out.

While I haven't read any of those comics, the nature of that story (monsters and monster hunters) does sound like a good fit for Peele and I would be curious to see that project in whatever form it takes.
Or perhaps he's the next person to try to tackle Blade.

The angle with the kids really could be nothing more than making the death of the universe extra personal for the old heroes.
If it is really related to Doom, though, I doubt there's any sort vague prophecy. More likely it's setup for Doom to train the heroes' kids as his own in battleworld. IIRC, there was a school in the comics Battleworld where Emperor Doom was basically raising a bunch of young heroes to believe in his propaganda.

I think Doom is going to pretend to be a good guy who will try and make Rogers, Thor etc look like bad guys for coming after him because of their kids. He will make it seem like they don't want him to do his plan to save the world/universe and they are lying about the kids. Kids mind you who it seems are not even part of the world, sort of. Rogers kid is in the past, maybe in altered world. Thor and his daughter are in some unknown place. Franklin like the Fantastic Four are from a alternate universe.
