Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to open on July 31. There has been much speculation about the role Sink has in the Spidey film, and frankly, I do not know the answer, but I do know that she’ll join the cast of the next Avengers picture that shoots here in London later in 2026.

It's gonna be so hilarious when we find out she's the Punisher's new female sidekick.

Leave it to Sony to continually waste good actors like that.

Sadie Sink to appear in Secret Wars. (Scroll down to the end of the article.) Didn't see that coming.

Jean Grey confirmed. ;)

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more it really does make sense. I guess I was just surprised because she hadn't even occurred to me as a possibility.

It is the last movie before Doomsday and Secret Wars, so it makes sense it would involve the Multiverse. And now that I think about it, bringing Mayday in would be good way introduce Peter to the threat to the Multiverse and set up his role in Doomsday and Secret Wars, especially if she's a refugee from a destroyed universe.

Sony doesn't care about Doomsday and Secret Wars, so what's their motivation for using the Multiverse again?

Because it's still part of the MCU, it's the last movie before and Doomsday and Secret Wars will be the big conclusion to The Multiverse Saga, and we now know that Sadie Sink will be Secret Wars, so it could mean that her character has a connection to the multiverse.

That's not an answer as to why Sony would want to use the Multiverse again.

Sony doesn't make these movies by themselves. Multiverse or not isn't solely their decision.

Also, simply looking at the recent box office results shows exactly why Sony quite plausibly would want to use the multiverse again. All of the $900b+ MCU movies over the last five years were heavily built on the multiverse. All of their sub-$500b films were either completely divorced from it or left it relegated to post credits-scenes.

Plus Spider-verse has been a huge hit for them and Everything, Everywhere, All at Once was the biggest financial hit in A24's history.

And there's a clear history of positive box office results for films positioned to tie into Avengers films, which in this case means tying into the multiverse.
