They also wanted him to work twice as hard in the first season. They probably tried to increase the number of episodes(Or maybe Hailee Steinfeld wanted to leave all the burden to Jeremy Renner?) and reduce the budget. But instead of reducing the cost of the actors, they should have reduced the production. Marvel is trying to reduce the budgets on the shows, this is the result. But Marvel will sit down and talk to Jeremy Renner again after this interview.

I can do nothing but applaud him for standing his ground.

If it's the same amount of work ( i don't understand his comment about it taking him twice as much of work, due to his injuries or would his role be expanded?) so the same pay at least.

Disney and all studios in general need to be called out for their business practices. They want star power they pay and i seriously question their judgement in trying to play hardball with Renner, who's not an upcoming nobody looking for his break that you can easly penny pinch. He's an established movie star and it's his character ( nobody would want to see any of these roles recast).

So i agree - let's see if this spotlight on Disney changes their minds. If they can't make it work financially then that's it, i don't blame studios for wanting to be profitable but not on the backs of the people who actually make the profit.
