Yeah, I'm glad Beast is back, but I would have preferred Nicholas Hoult or even a fully CGI version voiced by George Buza. I think Buza would actually be my first choice since his is the voice I always hear when I think of Beast.

Didn't we already have a "save the multiverse from destruction" storyline in Loki, though? In which case it would make sense that they'd want to do something different in the movie.
We did--but that is also the premise of Secret Wars --and with a movie called Doomsday coming right before it.

Speculation. Doom tries to wrest control of the multiverse from Loki. Loki calls in heroes from various realities to stop him.

You know I kind of like that idea. It works. We can even see some logic in who he recruits. He turns to Thor of course because he is his brother and is basically a GOD. He knows The Fantastic 4 have had success in dealing with Doom in the past, or maybe the Doom of their universe. Professor X,Magneto have the power to really match up with him in a conflict and so does Sentry which brings in the Thunderbolts.

Plenty of MCU productions have borrowed the names of comics series or storylines while telling very different stories than they did. Also, there have been three different comics miniseries called Secret Wars (counting Secret Wars II) with different plots.

He's Fox News host, MAGA Republican, and I absolutely hate that whole crowd.

I can separate the art from the artist. I don't really care about their politics as long as it's not criminal and even then I still love watching "Naked Gun" movies and that movie has a wife beating murderer in it. I think the one that I have issues with would be watching the "Cosby Show" because I feel like I was tricked by the guy into spending decades thinking he was this really great family oriented guy. Though to be fair I can't say I have ever had a strong desire to do a rewatch of the show anyways. I liked the show but didn't love it, even as a kid.

Try to refresh my memory of the original and stumbled on this in Wikipedia

The series was announced under the title Cosmic Champions in the eleventh issue of the Marvel Age news magazine, cover dated February 1984. The series was renamed following feedback from Mattel's focus group, which indicated that children responded positively to the words 'wars' and 'secret.' Mattel's involvement influenced the storyline and character design, including making Doctor Doom and Iron Man's armor more high-tech to appeal to kids.

Back when kids read comics. ;)

So, looking back at Phases 4-6, it looks like every movie with the possible exception of Eternals, MoM, No Way Home, GOTG3, The Marvels, and Deadpool & Wolverine will tie in. That's actually more than I expected.

What surprises me more, however, is that with the exception of Wyatt Russell playing John Walker, not a single Disney+-introduced character seems in the mix - and one can argue he's a special case, since he'll be re-introduced in Thunderbolts in just a few months. I presume the events of Loki will matter to some degree, but it very well may be the case that most of the Disney+ shows are going to operate more like side-continuity going forward - referencing things in the main stories, and each other, but not directly referenced in the feature films. Hopefully this isn't just due to an overreaction to the failure of The Marvels at the box office.

Gambit is from D&W. Beast shows up at the end of The Marvels

Isn't the new Falcon from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier?

Still introed on D+

So far we've had Walker, Torres and Ms Marvel show up in the movies from the D+ shows. She-Hulk is supposed to be in the movie too and Adult Monica showed up.

Really, who's missing that's D+ only so far? Kate Bishop?

Moon Knight. Agatha Harkness. Wiccan. Daredevil (in costume, anyway). Echo. Uatu.

And Kate Bishop has been in a movie.

Robert Downey Jr. exchanged the following commentary on the official Marvel Studios Instagram post of the overall video (direct quotes courtesy of io9 since it's a pain in the ass to find Marvel's reply to RDJ's comment):

Downey: "That’s what u call a deep bench of talent… actually it’s more like a row, but an extra long one… That must be it… right?"
Marvel: "there’s always room for more…"

Seems like anyone they bring back gets an easier and less demanding experiences than what they previously experienced

Alfred Molina- Mostly CGI arms

Beast- Mostly CGI

Seems like we'll get a very short cameo of FOX X-men universe discussing the multiverse situation.

I doubt that. Seems pretty clear we're looking at multiple different realities on the chopping block and a block of characters representing each of them, so they should all be much more than a cameo.

Isn't the lead in to Secret Wars Dr. Doom and others trying to save the multiverse from total destruction?

While I agree it might make sense to do something different, it's also way more on brand for Doom to spend most of the movie waxing poetic about how he's going to single-handedly save existence from multiversal collapse while seemingly actually working to save the world and then only at the very end double cross everyone and steal control of the multiverse for himself.

What if Doom starts out being a hero. He is the one who kills Kang. Maybe since he looks like Tony Stark and might be a Variant people at first celebrate this thinking he must be a good guy like Stark was. But then we found out his master plan which is to create one world in which he rules over it by combing elements from different worlds. I still can't help but think that they are going to somehow incorporate his likeness to Tony Stark into the story somehow. No way do we just see him in his mask the whole movie.
