Disney is claiming that BP2 is the most watched movie premier on Disney+ so far, based on hours streamed in the first 5 days.

Endgame was almost a half hour longer. Not sure if that would be counted in these stats or not, though.

No Way Home is only about 10m shorter, though, so I don't know that it can be put down to runtime alone either way.

Joblo had an article the other day, on how Secret Invasion was supposed to be a 'early 2023' release and now shifted to just 2023.
Perhaps it, and other MCU shows have been delayed?

"Echo" was supposed to be early this year too and it's moved to the end of the year. "What If..." Season 2 is also nowhere to be found.

And I will be shocked if any of the movies planned for after this year come out on their currently scheduled dates.

I'm sure that "most watched" refers to the number of subscribers who watched it, not to the amount of time spent doing so. Heck, even in the days of broadcast TV, ratings were measured by the number of sets tuned in, not by program length.
I dunno. It said based on hours streamed. Longer the film, the fewer streamers that equates to.

Even so, BP:WF is only a few minutes longer than The Eternals, 12 minutes longer than Infinity War, 14 minutes longer than Civil War, etc. It's not a big enough difference to matter.

I would believe it. Black Panther 2 was the #2 movie in America, beat only by Top Gun.

The original was the 3rd highest grossing Marvel movie in the US (but lower ranked if International was included).

Schools such as where my daughters go were planning on taking Kids to see it. Ours didn't... for us I think due to budget, while others might be cautious due to Covid (not an issue with the orig8nal).

Combined with the beginning of Blakc History month and Oscar and other nominations, it shouldn't be a surprise or taken as a false claim

Well, the crackdown is real. Company reorganizing with 5.5 billion dollars expected to be saved in these cost cutting measures, including, 2 billion in operating costs. So the shake up will likely continue on for scheduling.

Wow, that's a big cut. But with the insane amounts of money they've been pouring into things like streaming, I'm not to surprised that they're having to cut back.

Nahh -- I'm sure it's just the billionaire owners funneling more money into their own coffers out of sheer greed. Anything else is just their excuse.
