Ah, got it. Good question. Though Ms. Marvel is only connected by being a fan. He could be, too!
Cavil in the MCU would be amazing. Wouldnt mind if he played a villian.
I would have for Cavill to join the MCU. He just escaped from one dead franchise. Why join one that is in the process of dying?
Why in the world do you think it's dying? They've announced two more whole phases in the works, and we don't even have the full picture of Phase 6 yet. They're building up toward introducing the Fantastic Four and the X-Men, and their streaming TV presence is active, robust, and expanding. I really don't understand the source of the doomsaying I'm hearing from some quarters.
Oooo...I like that idea! The internet scuttlebutt based on nothing is saying Jodie Comer is Sue Storm.
Because I believe it's dying . . . artistically. I believe the MCU has been artistically dying since 2016. I don't care how many phases Feige has planned. I thought Phase 3 was bad . . . until I saw Phase 4.

Regardless of belief, it is still a large money making enterprise. Even if it is dying artistically, there is still money that can be made here and it is a successful brand. They stated "I believe..." so they're acknowledging it's their opinion. You've said this multiple times. We get the picture. But it is your opinion.

I mean, isn't that the question-why do actors choose what they do? I remember questioning Liam Neeson's choices on a role. It's just the nature of the beast.Asking why Cavill would want to go from a dead franchise to a dying one doesn't sound like one questioning his artistic choices.
^ The key takeaway.
Why some are so incensed and/or offended by what is a minority opinion (on this board) is rather strange.
