I really wish Matt Smith could book some better roles. He's great, but the only stuff he seems to act in Post Doctor Who are terrible movies and random streaming shows. At least he'll probably do well with that GoT spin off, although I didn't watch GoT so its not like I'll be watching that show, I just want him to do well.
Yeah, I feel the same way. He was completely wasted in Terminator: Genesys (gods, I fucking hate that spelling) and now this shitty movie that I won't ever watch despite hearing that he was at least utilized well.

He's my favorite modern Doctor so I really want him to excel outside of it. I'm not that excited about the Game of Thrones prequel but I'll give it a shot if only because of Smith and a few other actors.

What’s even more perplexing to me is that he was the villain in the big budget morbius movie. He doesn’t even come close to the heavy weights of marvel villains.

that’s like Batman taking down joe chill for two hours

Yeah, I've been wanting to see that one too. I just checked and it's out on Blu-Ray/DVD, but it's not on any of the streaming services.

I heard some folks though she was real and reported a kid in danger.

Reminds me of back in 1998 when Armageddon had well done posters that made it look like buildings had been hit by meteors. Got them in trouble cause people thought something had really happened.

Back in the mid 90's to early 2000's Fox would make half hour/hour long specials prompting their big budget summer tentpoles and air them a few days before they open. In a lot of cases they'd be fictional opens/mid sections/endings pretending that the movie was real, with interviews, behind the scenes, etc. filling in the balance.

I believe it was the ID4 one that my little brother thought was a real alien invasion.

I remember that. Reminded me of the film 'Special Bulletin'.

Isn't Special Bulletin the 1980s TV-movie about an nuclear explosion on the U.S. East Coast? Sander Vanocur was the newscaster?

In an alternate universe where Disney didn't give Feige control of the MCU, we could've seen him overseeing the DC film universe instead.
Damn, the MCU dodged a bullet there. Perlmutter is the worst and thank the gods Feige eventually won the war on that one (even if it wasn't directly because of Feige).

On the other hand, the DC film universe missed out on an opportunity to course correct a lot sooner.
