Black Panther.

Honestly surprised to see Thor 3 here. Hopefully they redeem that particular movie series after the not-as-good-as-it-should-have-been Dark World chapter.

The Inhumans will be the wild card.

Holy crap. Between Marvel, Warners, Fox, and Sony, there are going to be a TON of superhero movies coming out in the next 5 years.

Not to mention making it a Captain America film kind of kills the moral ambiguity seeing as Rogers is protagonist so the audience is usually expected to side with him in these kinds of things.

I think the audience was supposed to side with Captain America against registration in the comics anyway...

I wouldn't take the "Civil War" thing too literally. Neither "The Winter Soldier" or "Age of Ultron" are literal adaptations of the comic-book sagas of the same name. The "Civil War" movie may lift a few ideas from the comic-book version, but will probably be a brand-new story.

Can't wait to see who they get to play Black Bolt. Please with the casting of Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther as well, really enjoyed his performance in 42.

Forget Black Bolt. Who is going to play Lockjaw?

I totally agree, he was fantastic in 42. I'm looking forward to his performance in Get On Up as James Brown.

That list is awesome. I'm excited for all of the movies. The next couple of years are going to be great for Marvel movie fans (just like the last few years have been).

I wonder if Coulson's crew will show up in Civil War. What with all the bad feelings simmering around, his surprise return would fit in pretty perfectly there...

Captan America: Civil War — May 6, 2016.
Doctor Strange — Nov. 4, 2016.
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 — May 5, 2017.
Thor: Ragnarok — July 28, 2017.
Black Panther — Nov. 3, 2017.
Avengers: Infinity War (Part I) — May 4, 2018.
Captain Marvel — July 6, 2018.
Inhumans — Nov. 2, 2018.
Avengers: Infinity War (Part II) — May 3, 2019.

The BIGGEST shock has to be the third Avengers movie being split into two movies! I guess Marvel learned a lesson from all those crappy Young Adult book to movie adaptations, make one big film at once and release them separately means more money!

The Doctor Strange release date is fitting. Something about a magic movie being in the winter just works. I would be fine with Cumberbatch as Strange. They ended up giving the better May release to GOTG2!

GOTG2 will have the very important May first week release date! I'm proud of the cast and the director, they certainly deserve it. I'm expect the sequel to be a bigger hit than the original, there are still PLENTY of people that still haven't seen the first movie.

Thor 3's plot isn't surprising at all. I hope they go all out. I was SO disappointed with TDW, so I really want Marvel to redeem themselves with the third movie.

I'm SHOCKED that we are actually getting a Captain Marvel movie. I was expecting them to do a solo Black Widow movie first since Scarlett Johansson has become so popular! She was able to open Lucy!

Very glad Black Panther and Inhuman are getting made. Let the long years of fan bitching about which black actor should be cast as T'Challa begin! As long as it's not Will Smith, I'm happy!

I'd love to comment on how awesome this is. But others can do that. Instead I'll point out something inconsequential. They've apparently moved Dr. Strange back in date (from July to November) and moved Guardians 2 up (they were originally on Thor's date).

I'm curious to see how they handle a split part 1 and part 2 with two other movies in the middle. That being said, the two movies are somewhat clever choices (both being Earth bound with space ties).

Chadwick Boseman has already been cast as T'Challa, so there's no chance of Will Smith taking the role.

I'm not. After three movie appearances, BW the character is still almost entirely devoid of personality or interest, and she's too cool a cucumber to turn that around. Makes much more sense to start with a fresh character and a cheaper actress.

Part 1 of the presentation for those who didn't get to see it live.

Good point.

Wow that is a hell of a line up. I'm really glad to see then finally doing Black Panther and Captain Marvel (Carole Danvers), after years of talk. Chadwick Boseman was good in 42, so I'm happy to see him get the role. It'll be really interesting to see who they get for Carole.
The announcement of Inhumans makes me wonder if some of the theories going around about Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will turn out to be true. I wonder if the rumors going around a while back about Vin Diesel as Black Bolt will turn out to be true?

io9, on the Civil War:
Kevin Feige reveals: "Events of the whole cinematic universe will make all governments in the world want regulation. Not so much about secret identity, but about who reports to who."

Now that only makes perfect sense, and continues the theme from Iron Man 2 of independent action vs. governmental oversight.

(In other words: those who don't think Iron Man 2 is both a solid movie and a key step in the MCU are still just plain wrong. :p)
