I can't really see Mackie's comments have that much of an effect on the box office, most of the people who got the most upset are probably the kind of people who aren't going to be seeing it anyways. And once the actual movie is out and it gets a positive reaction, most of the actual fans will forget he ever said anything.

Or will be seeing it anyways even if they say they won't. The irony is most of the people who don't watch it won't even bother to talk about why they won't watch it. It will just be a movie they ignore in order to watch another movie or tv show they would rather watch instead.

So supposedly they claimed they were "launching" at 7:00AM...but it was all a ploy; it's just waiting for the trailer which presumably will be at 8.

The things these companies do for hype.

First glimpses look pretty promising. My only (silly, very minor criticism) is that I feel like perhaps Thing's voice should be more gravely.

Also, countdown to fans screaming bloody murder about the significant size shrinkage of Galactus begins in 3...2...1...

Yeah, I like what I'm seeing so far. I like the tone, the focus on family is nice, and I'm loving the retro '60s designs.

Korg's voice wasn't gravely. So it is consistent at least.

Okay, it looks like it's mainly set in a time when the FF are already established with some flashbacks to their origin, rather than yet another origin movie. I hope so. Most of the pre-mission shots seem to be old TV footage, though there appear to be a few that are widescreen.

Interesting that the character who gets the most dialogue is Sue. That's a good sign. She should be the strongest-willed, most grounded member of the team, its emotional core and the one who holds the others together. Still, it's odd that the trailer gives little sense of Reed or Johnny. And not just in terms of personality -- did we see Reed stretch even once?

This is probably a minority opinion, but I'm not impressed with Pedro Pascal in the trailers/teasers. He's giving a real understated, almost phoning it in vibe.

I loved the shot of Johnny flaming out in the atmosphere.

I wonder how they will deal with Galactus. It seems to me that Galactis is far too big ( not just sizewise) to be a one movie villain. Galactus is easily a Thanos level "villain" ( rather a force of nature, neither villain nor hero, he just is) that i could have well seen developed slowly like Thanos and have the anxiety build up over several movies as he gets closer to Earth.

I'm also curious how they plan to integrate the FF into the wider MCU given the style/era differences. I mean Reed ok, just give gim the grey sideburns but everybody else aging a couple of decades just doesn't feel right.

I bet whatever they do to stop Galactus will also factor in how they get to the MCU universe. Though it is weird. Not only do they have to travel to another universe but forward in time as well. I am curious how they do both of those things.

My guess is they don't stop Galactus, and he destroys their Earth. Then he's still out there as a threat. And the F4 have to find a new home in the mutiverse.
