The Galactus, Surfer and Doom bit is an update. Still only a rumour, but what else could Fox have offered Marvel ?
Those characters were included in the original Fantastic Four rights, so that's not a shocker. Galactus and Silver Surfer were two characters Marvel tried to bargain back separately and were turned down.

What else could Fox have offered Marvel? You mean to use the TV rights? How about a bunch of cash? The rights were being unused because neither side could use them without permission. As long as you don't make the deal in perpetuity like Marvel did for the film rights, it makes some sense to make a business deal happen to richen both sides.

Cap better look out, he's got some competition--If you saw SHIELD tonight, you know what I'm talkin' 'bout!

The Firestar reference may have been the best.

I thought the guy said "Firestarter, but that's so '90s." Then again, the Stephen King book and movie of that name were from the '80s. And so was Angelica Jones/Firestar, for that matter -- both the King novel and the Marvel character debuted in 1981.

It followed another Marvel name drop immediately before, so I figure it had to be a reference.

Ugghhh, I hate the entire Marvel Zombies concept-- and I've read the actual books. Well, at least the first couple of collections at my library. I don't want to see those incorporated in any way into the MCU.

I've never read the books, but Marvel Zombies doesn't really me as something that is crying out for a movie, especially when there still have so many regular characters who've never been adapted.

I can only assume any such Marvel Zombies movie would not be in the MCU continuity.
They were not supposed to be in regular comics continuity until some brilliant editor <name redacted> said they were.

It was an entertaining concept for a "what if" mini series but it went on far too long. Plus, we have enough zombie series going on right now, the MCU does not need it.

I associate Namor more with the X-Men, but I think he would be an interesting addition to the MCU if they can distinguish him from Aquaman. The only other character I think of off the top of my head that could work is Nova. There are obviously dozens of more avengers, but they're all a little ridiculous to one degree or another.
