What grade would you give the Marvel Cinematic Universe? (Ever-Changing Question)

I think it did help also that it starred Andy from "Parks and Rec" and Zoey Saldana was also known. It's easy to forget also that Glen Close and John C Reilly were in the first movie. I think the movie was going to be hit though the moment Peter Quill gave the middle finger. A highlight in the first trailers. It really spoke to the kind of tone the movie would have.

Yes the trailer set the tone and drew people in. That's what a trailer should do.

Looks like fun. I'm curious to see what it looks when it isn't quite as bleached out from being filmed off a phone. Is this the first time Nico Minoru has been connected to Spider-Man? I had assumed she was going to be Silk, I can't remember her civilian name, and was a little shocked when she said her name was Nico.

Do you work in Hollywood or in the movie industry in some other way? You seem to have a lot of very strong feelings about making these movies.

I can understand that, if you are a fan of a character or a story, changes like that can be annoying---but it doesn't mean that Echo, the series, was poorly written. A similar thing happened with She-Hulk. It was a really well written series but it annoyed a lot of people.

I am in a more important position than being someone working in Hollywood or the movie industry. I am a nerd with internet access! Soon they will learn to bend to the will of the internet nerd and the glory days of brilliant tv and movies will be back, stronger than ever!

I liked She-Hulk but at the same time I do think they wasted the character as well. She-Hulk IMO was a movie quality character who could have carried a movie and had more potential than being in a sort fun but not great Ally McBeal type of streaming show. So I got mixed feelings on the show.

The show managed to capture the essence of the character in a way a movie never could.

Maybe 4 but they haven't really even set up such a movie in away that will help it be successful. That is part of the reason I mentioned the idea of having Ms Marvel and Kate Bishop in the Avengers movie. It's one the best ways to start setting it up.

We've seen versions of quite a few of the Young Avengers since Endgame.
 
Yes but are they good enough to build a movie around? That's the issue. Think of Avengers like the old Chicago Bulls. They got themselves a Horace Grant, John Paxson and Bill Carthwright but they are missing a Jordan and Pippen that you need to win at the box office. Miles Morales I think might be a Jordan and I think X-23 might be a Pippen. But they still need to set all that up.

That is just factually untrue. Iron Man was a character that the general public didn't care about and was a success. The Guardians were an unknown. Nobody thought Ant-Man would be a hit. The movie works if the characters are well-written in the movie and people grow to care about them.

Also, I think you mean Thor 5.

I don't think so--I was just thinking that the would be the movie where she would fit given the nature of the character.

You probably put in a veteran like Hulk. He isn't getting his own film so why not coach the team? (Sportsball!!!!!)

That was 20 something movies ago and how many shows ago. The MCU rose up and did something never done before in movie history. But their has been a decline since then. Just being part of the MCU is no longer enough reason to get people to watch MCU stuff. They have sort of rebuild the brand back up.

Actually I would go with Vision. Especially if your going to have Wanda's kids in the movie as the sort of adult character in the movie.
