Can't believe this is the movie of all places where they decided to pick up on the end of 'The Eternals' but that's clearly Titamut's hand Sam is flying by at about 1.30

Oh and...

"New to the cast is Shira Haas, who joins as Ruth Bat-Seraph. A former Black Widow, Ruth is now a high-ranking U.S. government official who has the trust of President Ross."

I wonder if we'll be getting 'Madame Web' levels of ADR to remove all references to Israel and Mossad or they just reshot everything. :guffaw:

Maybe after they do the ADR she is called "Dave" 😂

The action also looks like it’s gonna be pretty good, too. The quality of the writing remains to be seen in regards to what was rewritten with the new script writer, but at the very least, I’m very intrigued and kind of digging what they’re going for.

It doesn’t look like it will be S- or A-tier Marvel, but also doesn’t look like the dumpster fire suggested by all of the reworking of the film from the behind-the-scenes reports. Seems like, at the very least, it could be a decent, solid and entertaining action/political thriller.

I mean, it's possible she was always reinvented as a US Operative in the MCU. They never actually mentioned before whether Sabra was going to be an Israeli agent, just that the character in the comics was an Israeli Superhero.

And I'm loving the gutless turnaround from viewers. All the "Oh this will suck" people are now commenting "Whoa this looks co

It's funny seeing Giancarlo Esposito is in the trailer given his character wasn't in the movie until a couple of months ago.

Speculation on your part based on when we heard he was in it or do you have a source that says he was actually added late?

Wouldn't be the first time for a character and actor to be announced late in normal circumstances.

Fascinating trailer, and from so little released, it appears to maintain the same darker, political edge as the other Cap-related films and TV series, which is exactly how the character should be handed, despite the expected Easter eggs / teases to other MCU productions. Some viewers are already reading Ross' criticism of Wilson being a Captain America, but "...not Steve Rogers" to point to Red Hulk (as Ross' "solution" in resetting the world), but I feel its still part of the public--specifically the American public--still forcing Wilson to to do what he should not need to: prove his worth as that alter ego.

I do hope that is a continued plot from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, as the journey of Sam Wilson--like his comic book version--was often caught in the middle of the sociopolitical war of a black man being a genuine American hero, yet never truly accepted as one in his own country. In other words, taking on the the identity in the TV series did not mean an end to the struggles Isaiah predicted Wilson would face.

Needless to say, Cap4 is the "must see" superhero film from any to be released in the year to come.

Assuming it actually is the same people, what's gutless about revising an opinion once presented with footage to judge?

They can't stick to their guns, that's what. They're 100% ranting about how terrible it would be and gave it no consideration and then changed at the drop of a pin.

Now I wonder if Giancarlo is really one of Leader's humanoids.

I've heard GW Bridge suggested. But I'll only accept that if they put him in this outfit at some point.

No prizes for guessing who drew that masterpiece!

Heh, looks like Liefeld.

But I'm wondering if they'll kind of combine 2 characters into 1, just for an added twist. Everyone calls him GW Bridge until something happens revealing he's actually more, one of Leader's constructs.

I didn't catch it until the second viewing (both on my phone since I can't access my computer) but I noticed Sterns says the line "Global power is shifting. You're just a pawn." Presumably that's the back of him in that one shot during said line.

What makes you think that? It just looks like something made of stone to me.
I've played played back the early shot a few times and it certainly does look like Tiamut's open hand.

He wasn't filmed at all until the reshoots.
