I'd much rather that not happen. I highly doubt every single actor in the series feels so strongly about the issue that they'd actually hold out, and even if it's a majority of them, I honestly think the series would be better off moving forward with Rocket and Groot (or, hell, even Nebula and Mantis) as the core of a new team with some added members (Valkyrie, for instance) rather than do a movie starring Sylvester Stallone and Miley Cyrus. Really that only thing that would make that movie even remotely attractive would be for it to be a prequel which would be allowed to bring back Michael Rooker/Yondu. But even then, Rooker's more fun with Pratt/Quill around.
Frankly, even with Rooker, I'm not sure such a theoretical movie would have the talent to actually do anything worthwhile, anyway. Yeoh is good, but as far as I can tell wouldn't be close to the leading role. Rosenbaum is fine for network tv and that's about it. Stallone has always been trash except in a precious few roles that were pretty much tailor made for him (his performance in GotG2 makes it abundantly clear this isn't one of those). Cyrus is no better, and I highly doubt she could produce anything on the level of Groot. Frankly, I've seen much better work from Diesel than Cyrus, and I doubt Diesel could have ever pulled off what he has achieved if it weren't for the fact that Groot's built-in limitations force the audience to view the character differently. Only speaking three words is actually an advantage for him, especially in combination with the CGI. Cyrus wouldn't have the same advantage. And while I'm not particularly familiar with Ving Rhames, his imdb page doesn't speak very highly of his career. I don't see Rooker and Yeoh holding the whole thing together by themselves.
