Kevin Feige reveals the ‘X-MEN’ movie will release very soon after ‘AVENGERS: SECRET WARS’.“After [‘Secret Wars’] the mutants are coming, the X-Men are coming & that's been a dream of mine. I started with the X-Men many, many years ago and to bring a new version into the MCU is going to be very exciting.”
That's nice. He said 5 or 6 years ago the mutants were coming....

But seems to line up with that rumor that they couldn't do it until 2026.

So.....

We have Captain Marvel, right? And now we know they CAN do Rogue, if they want to....
What if they really did comic book Rogue and her get her flight and strength from Captain Marvel?
I'm not sure of Brie Larson has a lot more movies in her contract (and, toxic fanboys, you can stay out of this conversation ok?), but if Doomsday and/or Secret Wars would be her final movie, it would be so awesome to have a true comic accurate Rogue that steals Captain Marvel's powers in one of those movies.
My thoughts exactly. Considering how poorly The Marvels did I cannot see Brie Larson being around much longer. Does she even want to?
I only wonder if she would be up for a scene like that. I think there needs to be more substance to it.

The comic original X-Men team is boring and not worth making a movie about, in my opinion. They're also just a really poor group from a diversity standpoint (a bunch of boring middle class to rich white people, and Iceman and Angel are especially bland). I'd go with either the team from Giant Size X-Men

Cyclops
Storm
Wolverine
Nightcrawler
Colossus
Banshee
Thunderbird
Sunfire (Optional)

or one based on the 90s X-Men (especially seeing how X-Men 97 is really popular)

Cyclops
Jean Grey
Storm
Beast
Rogue
Gambit
Wolverine
Jubilee
Professor X (Optional)

They aren't going to repeat the comics' mistakes and have Carol get r@ped by Rogue. It's sick you want to see that.

Boring is in the execution.
Diversity can be accomplished via casting.
Scott was a penniless orphan before Xavier took him in.
Over half of the GS XM are white

I was trying to search for news on some follow ups from movies like The Marvels, Eternals, and Shang-Chi last night and apparently there is still some interest in bringing back Kate Bishop (Which would excite me). Now that we're talking about X-Men, I wouldn't mind them paying off where Monica went and applying that to bringing in the X-Men to the MCU. I know people have been off and on for Marvel since the COVID era, but I hope they don't completely ignore some of this stuff.

I think they need to wait on Wolverine. Jackman is to hard to replace. They don't need to make the mistake the MCU did in thinking they could move on from Evans so fast as Captain America. Icons are hard to replace. Batman seems to be the exception. It seems like you can always just insert the next guy without any time period of long waiting.

Feige- The things I do for these actors….

"The Two Tom Hollands." (Doctor Who fans will get it.)

When Holland was announced as playing Spider-Man in Civil War back in the dim mists of time, I was confused why a middle-aged writer and radio presenter would be playing Spider-Man. But if they felt the author of Lord of the Dead, a vampire novel starring Lord Byron, was the right person to play Spider-Man, who was I to argue? :)

It is indeed a very intense scene, and not something that is easy to put on screen. But in the original X Men cartoon it added a lot of weight and depth to the character of Rogue and why she is so invested to doing the right thing AND keeping people away from her. She used her powers for something bad, but was a victim of being used by others. As much as I enjoyed the character in the movies, she was one that felt too different from the comic version. I can see how back then, without a lot of backstory of the universe AND the controversy of the how and why they did not use that history of the character. I mean, explaining that there was a superhero that could fly and was insanely strong because of cosmic powers and she violently took those powers? In a movie franchise that literally JUST introduced the concept of superpowers in this universe? It wouldn't have worked.

Do we know if she has *any*?

I honestly don't know. I am a big fan of both her MCU movies and her other appearances in the franchise. But with the backlash/abuse she had to endure after it, I can get that she might be done, and she's not announced for Doomsday (yet).

That sucks if Larson doesn't come back. I actually thought he was a much better and likeable character in the Marvels over her own movie but the main reason I want her to be back is I want Vallani back as Mrs. Marvel, and if he comes back it might be a step closer to the Young Avengers thing they were setting up.

You do NOT want to go where you think you're going with using that word. Not with me. Not with my history. Back of RIGHT NOW buddy.
It's just messed up people want to see that happen to Carol just because they want a Rogue who can fly and a proud woman crippled just for being proud.
