Yeah, I'm another big fan of Iron Man 3, and 2 is my least favorite of the three, but I like it a lot more than most people seem to.

I think Iron Man 3 improves with age - especially with some of the elements from it such as the serum showing up in things like AoS and so making it part of a larger whole

The kid was annoying as hell at the time but you can also see how Tony's relationship with him might have helped define his future relationship with Spiderman

What really works for Iron Man 2 besides the fact that Tony Stark is just a great character is the Hammer character. I am a big fan of Sam Rockwell. Also first use of Black Widow.

I agree but one thing Captain America and Iron Man have in common is all 3 of their trilogy movies were good. No stinkers lie how Thor had two of them in his four movies.

Thor and Ragnarok were pretty good. Love & Monsters* was decent. Didn't watch Thor II aside from a few scenes.

Guardians 1 &2 were great, gave up on 3 halfway through

Edit: Thunder

Whereas I thought Thor and Ragnarok were good, the Dark World was just okay and Love and Thunder (not monsters) was pure garbage. As for the Guardians, the only movie I liked without reservation was the first one.

The second half of 3 is a slog.
On the whole, Captain America's trilogy are better films than Iron Man's.
In fact, TWS was once regarded as the best Marvel film in certain quarters. You don't tend to hear that about IM 2 or IM 3 ( outside of mental institutions ).

I like Iron Man 3. It was a great follow up to Avengers.
Even if I didn't enjoy Iron Man 3 as much as I do, I would at least have to give it props for introducing one of my absolute favorite MCU characters, Trevor Slattery.

I will agree with you on there. Overall, I'd probably give the Iron Mans an 8 and the Caps a 9.

I like Thor a lot, but I absolutely love both Ragnarok and Love & Thunder.
The Guardians of the Galaxy is my overall favorite series in the MCU.
All three were fantastic, and 3 gave us by far the most heartbreaking backstory of an character in the entire MCU.

Thor: The Dark World may not be good, but it has one of the best scenes ever.
The Asgard barge punching through the portal and hearing Loki going: Tadaaa!!

Ragnarok was a helluva fun movie.

Weird rewatching it, knowing that something like ten minutes after the closing credits most of the people on that cheerful little ship are gonna be dead!

Yeah, it’s almost got the same vibe as watching the end of Aliens, knowing what comes next
