Worf is just a blowhard when it comes to describing his species. But seems like most blanket statements made about Klingons aren't usually accurate.

____

Kirk "Prayer Saavik, Klingons don't take prisoners."

Saavik, "I see, sir. But didn't they have an entire prison ship once. Come to think of it, don't they have en entire prison world. Now that I think of it, didn't they imprison Spock on Organia?"

Kirk, "You fail the test! And your hair.. isn't.. regulation.."

Spock, "Trainees, to the briefing room."

And of course in the next movie, Saavik is taken prisoner by...wait for it...Klingons.

A thing about Worf is that he really knows very little of Klingons that is truly accurate rather than his own idealization of them. That's why they disappoint him so often. He is an outsider to their culture looking in. Raised by humans, you know.

Worf is full of Klingon crap.

"In Purgatory's Shadow", Worf gave a different explanation.

This is the dialogue from the scene where Worf and Garak bumped into Martok at that Jem'Hadar internment camp.
Garak: Aren't you Klingons suppose to kill yourselves when you're taken prisoner?
Worf: Not when there are still enemies to fight.
Martok: Or hope of escape.

What are we suppose to believe from what comes out of Worf's mouth?

David cgc, beat me to it. I was probably searching for the dialogue in the chakoteya transcript website when he posted his post.

La Forge: "Worf is this your idea of sex?"

Worf: "This IS sex!"

La Forge: "I've never had sex. I'll take your word for it."

Worf: "Good, because this is so totally sex."

Riker: (facepalm)

Sounds like a conversation from the lunch room at your average Star Trek convention.

Birthright pt 2
GI'RAL: Tokath. Long ago, when your captives asked to stay here, our hope was to avoid dishonouring our children on the Home World. But perhaps, over the years, we lost sight of our children that we raised here. This is our prison. It should not be theirs.

P'takh human excuses. A warrior fights to the death! :klingon:

KIRK: I said no tricks after we reach the ship. You're a prisoner of the Federation of Planets, against which you may or may not have committed an act of war.
KANG: Well played, Kirk. Now I and my crew must kill ourselves!

KOLOS: You condemn this man to Rura Penthe. What is the life expectancy of a prisoner there? Six months, a year at the most? And you expect us to believe that this is an act of mercy.
MAGISTRATE: This court has shown you a great deal of patience, Advocate. Don't test my limits any further. The life expectancy is none. All prisoners must kill themselves. You know well that this is why we have a prison planet in the first place.

It probably is the first time I've ever seen a Klingon just voluntarily surrender/defect to the enemy without even putting up a fight about it

TOS "The Day of the Dove"
CHEKOV: Captain, you can't. Don't let these animals have the ship.
MCCOY: Move aside. (he tends to Chekov)
KANG: Animals? Your captain crawls like one. A Klingon would never have surrendered. Order everybody in this area to be transported up. All weapons on him.

I'm sure there's some grand scheme like she cares more about getting revenge against other Klingon houses.
