March's Contest challenged use to reinterpret the future by way of the styles of the past. And now, as we step back into the present, we get to see who was brave enough to embark on this time-twisting artistic endeavour and you get to choose your favourite:

Retro Rockets
Everything new is old again! Take inspiration from older art forms, styles and designs to depict Trek tech and scenes. What would a cave painting of first contact with the Vulcans look like? How about a transporter room in an ancient Roman mosaic? Regency-era Borg? Klingons discovering America? Medieval away teams?

We have FOUR retro entries for you. The winner of the vote will sport the "Fan Art Challenge Winner" banner for the remainder of the month (see left <--) and has the honour of hosting April's Inspired by Laura Challenge.

Thanks for voting! :bolian:

Aww, your entry is lovely, @Starscape! Number one looks too cute. I don’t think I was aware of L.S. Lowry’s art, but looking at it on Google it seems like you nailed the style. Tbh, I wouldn’t mind a whole graphic novel in this style. :)

Thanks, @Michael. :D

Choosing that style was a bit of a punt as I wasn't sure how internationally well known Lowry is, or even nationally really, he's definitely most well know in the North of England where he did his work. Although, he did inspire a song (link)

Phew that was a closely fought competition, mid-week the leader seemed to change everytime I checked.

But we do have a clear winner and it's appropriate that the person who championed the "Inspired by Laura" Theme gets to host that challenge. Congratulations, @Michael!

Thank you to everyone that enter and voted, too. :bolian:

Yes, Congratulations @Michael on a serendipitous and well deserved win!!

I must admit, the vote for my favourite was the most difficult choice I've ever had to make on this board. There was much dithering and coming-back-later, but ultimately my vote went to @Starscape's Lowry-esque Picard & No.1 (it was No. 1's tilted head and the look on his face that did it
