Mallory to appear in Trek XI?

As I'm sure all of you remember from The Apple, Kirk received help from Mallory's father in getting into the Academy. I'm sure that anyone with that kind of interest continued to follow Kirk as he moved through the Academy and began his career. Personally, I'm fully expecting a cameo appearance in Trek XI by the elder Mallory and perhaps by his young son as well. Although I'll admit that I have not received phone or email confirmation yet from either Abrams, Kurtzman or Orci, I remain confident that they won't let such an important piece of Star Trek history from this era go untouched.

Since we're all in agreement that Mallory should be appearing in the film, does anyone have any casting suggestions for the elder Mallory? Or his son?

OMG IT WLL B TEH SUKZSS!!11 Stae trek is about teh bOObies & philisophy about teh futor. Boycott!!1

If Mallory doesn't appear, I will boycott this movie!

It goes without saying that Mallory should be played by the one and only Adam Sandler. Or Tom Cruise. Either would be fine.

So, what's the cameo count up to now ?

Garavick... the name Garavick is sticking in my mellon...
They're referring to Garrovick as "The Federation Captain" for now. Not very subtle are they?

The elder Garrovick was Captain of the Farragut (Kirk's first deep space assignment). His son, Ensign Garrovick was a red shirt aboard the Enterprise. All of this from the TOS episode Obsession.

And in case no one's figured it out yet, I'm just having some fun here. :D

I for one think Mallory should be held off until the sequel. After all, we don't want him to overshadow the return of Kirk and Spock.

Or maybe Abrams should just pull a Starbuck and make Mallory a girl.

We must have Mallory in ST XI in order to get audiences more familiar with him so he's viable for spinning off into Star Trek: Mallory.

^ Sounds about right to me. Mallory's father should be between 15 and 25 years older than Kirk and Mallory himself should be about 10 years younger than Kirk.

When you're older you're softer, which makes it easier for the styrofoam rocks to blow you up...real good! Just remember...when David Soul starts singing "Don't Give Up On Us, Baby", you're totally screwed.

I just talked to Kurtzman & Orci and they confirmed Mallory is not in the movie. They seemed surprised to hear that such a character even existed.
