Mallory to appear in Trek XI?

Well, in case your suggestion takes flight, I suggest Michael Dorn as the older Mallory. It would give him a chance to finally be a human with minimal time in the make-up chair.

When you're older you're softer, which makes it easier for the styrofoam rocks to blow you up...real good! Just remember...when David Soul starts singing "Don't Give Up On Us, Baby", you're totally screwed.

... frackin lost it right here... :guffaw:

Ohhhh, now I remember.

Mallory was that dumbass that got all excited like a giddy teenage girl at a slumber party, skipping through the jungle and yelling "it's over there...it's incredible" [paraphrasing]. I was confusing him with the one that looked like he didn't know which way to go during the lightning storm.

Kirk didn't seem to think the guy vaporized by lightning was a senseless death, probably because he didn't know his father.

The poor red shirts used to go pop, bang or fade with alarming regularity! No-one seemed surprised or even to miss them much. No-one ever seemed sorry.
Can anyone say, by the way, why they changed the shirt colours as trek went on?

No offense taken. Frankly, my namesake should have been looking where he was going. After all, the natives weren't chasing him with spears or anything.

If David Soul sings in Trek XI, I'm changing my screen name.

Who?

Glance at album.

Never mind. :D

I thought it would be better if we get a chance to see some of Kirk's mentors including Gullway (Obsession) and the USS Farragut.

I doubt if any big name Hollywood stars will appear in this movie. Afterall we know Tom Cruise is a big attraction but big attractions demand big paycheques.

Oh well. We win some. We loose some.
