NO way. Pike is a hero, and will always be one.
Is Bruce Greenwood even signed for Trek XII?

The first one had its moments, but instead of making it a Mission Impossible film, they made it a Tom Cruise film. MI was never about one guy, it was about the team and how they figure everything out..As who though? They already had Jon Voight play him in the first film. (And yes I KNOW Graves plyed him in the series.)Strangely enough, in an interview with JJ Abrams, he didn't exclude the possibility of Peter Graves appearing in MI:4
They should talk to Steven Hill, if he's still among the living!!
He's retired now. He was on Law & Order (Original) since the beginning until a few years ago. He was the old DA, Adam Schiff.
And maybe they can just forget/ignore the abomination called Mission: Impossible (the 1st movie). Greg Morris (the original Barney) walked out of the theater after an hour disgusted.
Unfortunately, Cruise bought the rights to MI. This gave him the power to make whatever changes he wanted. The first one had its moments, but instead of making it a Mission Impossible film, they made it a Tom Cruise film. They should forget all three and just start from scratch, and that includes dumping Cruise and getting a strong cast of lesser known, but superior actors.
3 stars: TC, his ego, and Scientology™!!Unfortunately, Cruise bought the rights to MI. Any Tom Cruise movie always has 2 stars: TC and his ego.
^Go back to your closet and wait for Ian McKellan to premiere on The Prisoner! The preview ads look pretty good. I cannot wait to see it. What is your opinion so far, my friend? I think I was too young to appreciate the original; it seemed confusing at the time.
Have Pike take command of a remade USS Faragut, (make it a Constitution class), with his Number One and maybe Xon as his Science Officer. =3
I had a huge grin when Pike was in the wheelchair, because it was a nod to Menagerie. I am sure it will not be permanent, though. While his uniform did not match any of the other Admirals we saw, I liked the homage to my favorite Kirk uniform, as well.I figured the wheelchair wasn't permanent--just temporary, while he recovers from his injuries.
While his uniform did not match any of the other Admirals we saw
I agree. While his uniform did not match any of the other Admirals we saw
The other admirals were wearing potato sacks.
Kelso answered this question: potato sacks.^ Probably the uniform that Pike is wearing (in the final scene) is the 'full dress' Admiral uniform, whereas the other admirals are wearing less formal duty uniforms. I don't know what the Navy calls this.
potato sacks.
Robert April will be the villain in the next movie.
Kelso said that, actually, not Sector 7, but I don't think it has any other meaning in this context than what the words say. The coarse texture and squared shoulders do sorta remind of burlap sacks of the type which might contain a hundred pounds of potatoes.potato sacks.
Does that phrase have some meaning I'm not aware of?![]()
