Wow, I wondered if you would see this, and what you would think. An interesting effort.. My only comment would be to replace the straight lines with curved which will provide unifying effect. In other words, in the top view, bow the lines coming off the dorsal, curving them toward a narrow gap at the bow. Look at the shape you have curved around your bridge, for example.
Hmm, imagine overlaying the Voyager profile (plan view) onto your design and see how the curved lines complement, rather than conflict with, your plan view profile... mirroring it on the saucer underside of course. You should then, for the sake of continuity, follow that example in your bussard cutouts as well.
If you want a rOund deflector then I'd suggest pulling more of a teardrop-shape feature from the saucer's underside center down around the deflector opening to provide a bolder cross-axis statement rather than dropping a circle in the middle of elongated oval shapes, as viewed from the front.
The pie-shaped saucer window cutouts are nice. I would probably widen the sides more. Speaking of sides, have you considered what effects the blast from your engineering hull impulse engine might have on that narrow exhaust channel?
Finally, would you mind showing us what your saucer section looks like when separated?
Thanx, Andrew-

The straight lines on the saucer come directly from the idea that the neck comes all the way up to the front, and comprises that middle part of the saucer. If I curve that part, I'll have to widen the back of the neck more, unless it comes to a narrower point in the front, which I didn't really want. I did like the idea that someone had, of putting the forward torpedo tubes there... I think I'm going to try that.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean about comparing Voyager's profile with this one. Looking at my side view, I think I see what you're saying... everything else is curved and swept forward, except for the nacelles. Of course, I wanted to keep the basic idea and shape of the ones from your REAL Galaxy class.

Thanks for the idea about the teardrop shape around the deflector housing... I may tweak that area some, since I'm moving the Torpedo tubes, and the ones I put there are too small anyway.

I'm glad you liked what I did with the windows. If I could ask a question about your design for the Enterprise D, though... Did you always intend to have the entire surface covered with windows, or did that idea come later? I always wondered about that, because even though the sets had sloped windows, a lot of the ones on the saucer would have had windows that were almost skylights, wouldn't they?
I haven't worked out the saucer separation yet, really.

Thanks again for the comments.
