Bob Iger has it right. It's not a matter of superhero fatigue, recent movies just haven't been up to the standards established in the past. At least he's being honest about it. Personally, I have high hopes for Deadpool 3, Fantastic Four and Captain America 4.

Cineplex in Canada is now giving 1000 points ($10) to go see it in theaters. That's the price of a ticket in some smaller markets.
I absolutely love this kind of stuff, after spending taking themselves overly serious for way to long, I love that they're finally embracing the sillier side of the comics. And don't even get me started on the continued silliness and corniness that seem to be ever increasing in them. Once She Hulk walked out of the Disney screen....I was like....Ok the MCU has officially jumped that shark.
Yes yes I know she hulk walked off the page in the comics. But I was hoping the movies would stay in a more serious tone which Iron Man/Hulk set. But sadly that is not the case. Now we have a stupid K.E.V.I.N robot "god", A dumpling god and soon TWO characters that talk to the audience KNOWINGLY and not just as a form of narration like House of Cards. But KNOWINGLY and in She Hulk's case she actually changed the course of events....smh..
So silly. Daredevil just drops out of the sky confused why he's even there...
I get that some people like this sort of thing and that's cool. But I don't know how long non comic readers are going to stand for it.
Oversaturation/constant crossovers and bad writing is what ruined the comics industry back in the 1990's and sadly the film and series are taking the exact same trajectory....
Sorry for the long rant....lol
As of March 6, 2024, Madame Web has grossed $41.3 million in the United States and Canada, and $50.6 million in other territories, for a worldwide total of $91.9 million.

Because the same universe can't have both serious and silly?
Not been my experience. As I said earlier (and it's just an opinion) I don't think general audiences (those who never cared for or read the comics) are gonna find the more slapstick cartoon humor as appetizing.
For example did people go to see Iron Man to see Robert Downey Jr or to see Iron Man?
Haven't the Deadpool movies been big hits?As I said earlier (and it's just an opinion) I don't think general audiences (those who never cared for or read the comics) are gonna find the more slapstick cartoon humor as appetizing.
Sony execs forgave Sidney Sweeney for her SNL joke, but are reportedly very upset at Dakota Johnson for not standing by their piece of trash, indeed even blaming her for the movie's failure.

No one. It's a fucking clickbait site. They're probably also happy that Sweeney has brought in over $200M vs $25M budget with Anyone But You. I want to know who is so in bed with these guys that they know that they not only are mad at Johnson but have forgiven Sweeney. Methinks might be some projection happening.
But it seems like Dakota Johnson, the lead star for the recently released Madame Web...
