LT Tallas

HOW COULD THEY KILL HER!

she was sooooooo hot, for a blue skin.

Should have Been Malcom's love intrest!

Agreed, she should've been (I thought her and Shran seemed a bit forced and unlikely). But I hear her security clearance wasn't high enough, and Malcolm's more into blue MILFs.

And I thought I was the only one who thought that...
Mal and Talas had undeniable chemistry!

I just watched "Babel" this morning actually

Mmm, nice

It would certainly have been interesting. Human and Andorian, that's a combo never seen before in ST, isn't it? We could have gotten a better insight of Andorian culture/society.

Yeah I thought it would have been great, some really good story lines could have come out of it, and they could have replaced boring Travis/Hoshi with her too as a main cast member, oh well B&B would never have had a good idea like that

I wished there'd been more time to give shran a bigger role in the series, period. I know there was an idea going around to make him part of the enterprise crew, but I'm not sure what capasity he could have worked in, since he himself is a Commander/Captain and there's only room for one First Officer.

^^ At the end of "The Aenar," Shran told Archer, "When you lose your ship, you aren't usually rewarded with another one." Perhaps he would have been demoted by the Guard, or put on Enterprise as a liaison or an observer as a "lesson," to earn back some good standing. It would have been an opportunity to see a proud man like Shran chafe and growl and butt heads with everyone, which he does so well. :)

Or perhaps there would have been some sort of officer exchange program as part of the new Coalition.

I agree that a Talas/Reed connection over several episodes or seasons might have been really intriguing. I loved the scenes between them in "Proving Ground." And I'm a big Shran/Jhamel fan (I think he needed someone gentle like her to balance him), so I'm all for spreadin' the love around.

Combs is one of the best Star Trek servants around, I would have loved him on the main cast, As I say I just hate the Cheapness of Tallas' death

I have to tell you guys a funny story, I was just in an Internet Cafe, and I clicked on this thread and that picture of tallas comes up and the screen froze with it on there for like 20 seconds. Lol i wonder what people thought

I agree that there was definite potential for a Malcolm/Talas relationship. It could have been an interesting angle to explore: one of the first serious and potentially long-term human/alien romantic couplings, before such courtships became fairly commonplace in the 23rd and 24th centuries. And it would have given us more insight into Andorian culture.

Of course, for it to work, she would have to become a regular or semi-regular, another idea I would have welcomed. I mean, I'm all for more of Shran, but Enterprise could definitely have used some more strong female characters.

How could she get a posting on Enterprise? Hmmm... maybe she was the one who sent that secret transmission at the end of "Proving Ground". We never found out who did it (yeah, we're probably supposed to believe it was Shran, but we don't know for certain). Perhaps, if she had gotten booted out of the Guard for her actions, Archer would have been willing to give her a chance on Enterprise...

Ah, possibilities...

It would certainly have been interesting. Human and Andorian, that's a combo never seen before in ST, isn't it?

Captain Lisa Cusak, late of the USS Olympia, tells the USS Defiant crew that she was once in a relationship with an Andorian civilian for six years. He was working on Andor with the Agricultural Ministry and disconcerted her, at their first meetings, by always pointing his antennae at her. [DS9: The Sound of Her Voice.]

I seem to recall Manny Coto saying after Enterprise was cancelled that if he had a Season Five Shran would have become a lead character.

Yeah, Tallas was hot! She was played by Molly Brink. But I have to say the hottest Andorian woman was Tarah, played by Suzie Plakson, who also played the half-Klingon/half-human K'Ehylehr, the Vulcan Dr. Selar, and Q's wife.

As much as I like Shran, I agree another strong female character like Tallas on the ship would've been good as another regular, or a co-star. Maybe she could've been the Andorian liaison officer, to keep her in that slinky leather Andorian outfit! What other position could she take on the ship, though?
