one actor replaced another for a role that was extremely minor in the past. WTF even remembers Kyle besides major show fans.

My only issue would be that it feels like small universe syndrome is getting out of hand, even compared to CBS other Trek offerings.

The universe towards the end of "Remember Me" is starting to seem huge by comparison.

Pretty much for me this is the case. Doesn't require much thinking that there might be two people with the last name of Kyle.

Is the character of Lt. Kyle played by Asian actor Andre Dae Kim in this series supposed to be the same character from the original series?. If so, how are we explaining that canonically?. Are we still kidding ourselves on that this is set in the same timeline as TOS?

As an Asian myself, I don't understand why they don't make him Sulu or into a brand new Asian character, if this is true.
