Loved how Defiant

Photon

Commodore
Commodore
did so many different things and succeeded.

It showed us a pretty good Maquis story and introduced the audience to the stealthy goings on in the Orias Sector-by the OO.

So seemless, so good. Dang couldn't other Trek be this good.

Frakes was good
MA was flawless
Even the Treknobabble wasn't too bad or far-fetched.

Like I said, the best part of it was the way it set up Improbable Cause and The Die is Cast.
Gold

Maquis Actions, of course. Where the Federation diplomats go to whine about explosions they don't like.

Defiant was a really good episode. Before seeing it I thought it would be a thinly-veiled excuse to have Jonathon Frakes on the show, but it turned out to be much more than that. Sisko forced to work with Dukat to shoot down his own ship! Dukat discovering the Obsidian Order had it's own mysterious plans that had nothing to do with Central Command! Mysterious plans that would lead to Improbable Cause/The Die Is Cast!

So yeah, pretty good. Though what on Earth was Riker on about when he told O'Brien he had nothing to say to him and he knew why?

;)

Prolly just a ruse to get away from Chief who might start asking nosy questions

Exactly. The only thing that makes sense there was he didn't want O'Brien coming to visit, wanting to reminisce about the Enterprise. O'Brien would've figured him out in about three seconds flat.
