LaFluer, head of security?

Cant say I like Sawyers hair straight down.

Seeing Sawyer and Juliet there is even more confusing, I could understand if the ones who got off the island somehow returned and it was the 70s, but how would the people already there be in the same time period?

^ because the island itself went back in time...

As for Sawyer as head of security, there's a new Sheriff in town. ;)

...more promo postcards...

More sneak peek coolness!

A moment of silence for the AngstyBeard but other than that, it was pretty substantive for a 2 minute sneak peek!

It's been announced that the question about the island is
"when" it went and not "where" it went, and pictures in this thread show what looks like Kate, Juliet, and Sawyer in Dharma uniforms.

I think that Ben's question in this sneak peek--
about those on the island dying--implies they were caught in the purge (or maybe they're supposed to prevent it "this time.")

I saw on Spoilerfix.com that Rebecca Mader is listed as a guest star. When did she cease to be a regular?

1) There are two separate times. Shortly after the Oceanic 6 leave the island and three years in the future when Ben meets Jack and Jeremy Bentham's wake and tells them they have to go back.
2) Alpert is who tells Locke that they have to come back to the island
3) We will learn what happens to the on-island Losties and the folks on the boat with Faraday
4) The island's location is not the only thing that has changed. The beach camp and the Swan Hatch appear and reappear in "various states" (I assume it does NOT mean literally in different states in the US ;) )
5) Locke is on his own not with the other Losties.
6) The Kate/Aaron sneak peek is described, but confirm the blood test is to prove if she is Aaron's mom.
7) The dead get more air time including Ana-Lucia (AL is listed for Episode 5x02)
8) The Virgin Mary Statues will reappear (I assume via the drug plane crashing again)
9) Hurley and Sayid are working together and Hurley has some great one-liners including: when Sayid turns down Hurley's offers of some french fries. "You know, maybe if you ate more comfort food, you wouldn't have to go around killing people."
10) Faraday knows more than he reveals and seems to know who to fix things on the island. He will go against the "rules" of time travel to try changing the past.
11) Juliet and Sawyer seem to be the next romantic couple on the island (speculation by the article).

Lost’s tradition of opening the year with a killer, capture-the-imagination sequence is honored and upheld, though the thing I loved most was how it was brazenly frank (and engagingly funny) about the heady high-concept conceit that will define the season. Almost everything that followed that opening passage was pretty cool, too. Remember the non-linear structure of Pulp Fiction, which toggled between a number of storylines whose chronological relationship to each other is practically a puzzle for the audience to solve? Well, the season premiere is kinda like that. The first two episodes will have the audience — and the show’s characters — trying to make sense of shifts in time. They demand active engagement, and I found it to be a lot of fun. Especially the first hour.

Lots of Sawyer in the first two eps. Lots of his naked chest, too. Lots of Hurley, and as for his chest, it is covered...with a very funny T-shirt. Sayid also has mucho screen time in both episodes, though he sleeps his way through one of them. Literally. And Daniel Faraday emerges as a huge player in season 5. The eps are dotted with cameos and extended cameos from peripheral but important figures crucial to the Lost mythology and much-loved by the Lost fan community. A polarizing character from Lost’s past returns, earns some redemption by participating with wit and humility, and delivers one of the best lines of either episode. Once again, all things Ben just rock. And if you're familiar with the rather disturbing crush that Doc Jensen happens to have on a certain rarely-seen Lost someone, then you can imagine how I swooned when I saw her re-appear at long last in the second episode.

In short, it was worth the wait, and certainly the perfect tonic for a day at Disneyland. I can't wait to see if you agree -- or disagree -- with me when Lost premieres on Jan. 21. In the meantime, tell me: What are you most looking forward to seeing in season 5? What are your burning questions? Let me know...because I'll be able to soon answer them for you, in the most unexpected of ways...
