We don't need the Sun losing English thing, seems such a bad day time soap move and 24 1st seasno ish for a good show like LOST. Is Charles a good guy now, thats a turn about and I guess it explains why he wanted the Island maube he thought Jacob would was weak and would eventually let MIB get the upper hand.

The other universe is really a bad one for our losties but why?

First really disappointing episode this season. It was just filler.

The only question I have is why is Kate crossed off the list?
She wasn't on the list in the cave, but she was on the list at the lighthouse, and not crossed out. She was number 51.
Maybe Cerebus can't fly over moving water like a vampire?
Maybe, but then how did Flocke get there in the first place to make his first appearance to the Ajira folks in season five?
Average.

Lighthearted romp.

I am getting frustrated with the ALT for one reason and a big one- I don't know how to emotionally invest myself in these characters because I don't know if it's real or not or how it applies to the OT.
The producers have said the flash-sideways are really happening and that they are not an alternate reality. Make of that what you will.

"Maybe, but then how did Flocke get there in the first place to make his first appearance to the Ajira folks in season five?" He took a boat, just like he got over in this episode ;)

Average. Seemed scattershot. Sun's abrupt aphasia was weird - maybe a sign that at long last, this show really is running out of ideas and the ending is coming at just the right time? The line about "everyone you love will cease to exist" was intriguing, tho.

No more V countdown clocks, please. :klingon:

And no i don't think it was a parallel perse, just a title of an episode with a double meaning.

Right, and rather than a double meaning occurring naturally and sensibly, this one seems forced.

Because typically people aren't packages?

I'm gonna guess right now that he isn't being delivered to anybody.

Eh? "The/A Package" is often used to refer to an important someone in code. You see it all the time in film and television, particularly when dealing with a president by his security detail or a kidnapped individual.

Perhaps so, although I guess I haven't seen such shows. However, there was no need to speak in code here.

She wasn't on the list in the cave that we saw, but I thought I heard she was supposed to be on there anyway.

Plus, it doesn't matter what we see or don't see, if what Locke said about her not being on the cave wall anymore was truthful.

I have a theory, they have to send Desmond back in time to push the button, to reset everything or something, so Desmond's fate in life will be to always press that button.

Oh no! I hate this! I just want Desmond to be happy!

Can Penny and Lil' Charlie come with him at least?!

Maybe Des does go back and takes his son Charlie with him ... who somehow grows up to be Charlie Pace?

Then he's sent back in time, gets a facelift, and is raised by a family with the last name Widmore. He's his own grandfather.

I only know the character centrics for the next 2 episodes and I really am wondering who the character centrics will be after that because they have done a character centric on just about every main character this season so I don't know who else they will do. Thoughts?

If we don't get our required 3 Jack episodes and 3 Kate episodes I'll be sorely disappointed! Joking :p

Claire, Frank, Ilana, and Miles are all "front credits" cast members this season, but haven't had their own centric episode yet (though Claire and Miles have both been seen in the alt-timeline). Whether the writers actually consider Frank or Ilana significant enough characters to get their own episode or not though......not so sure.

Claire and Hurley are the only main ones that seem to stand out. Both seem to have Alternate reality storylines started for them that they could need finished. Out of the two, I'm hoping more for Claire, but either would be nice.

I could see an Illana one too, but not counting on it. I expect one more Kate sideways to deal with her and Sawyer storyline. A Jack one always seems to be a given, but they might just wait until the finale.

I certainly don't. Ultimately, I think all we've learned about her is enough.

I agree. I'm not opposed to a little more being revealed through dialog here and there but I wouldn't want to spend more than a couple minutes on her back-story beyond what we've gotten so far.

When LOST ends, maybe they can have a series of "lost tales" on DVD or something to explore the backstories of some of these characters, but right now, this show is about the people from Flight 815. Even though we've been introduced to many new characters along the way, the focus needs to be on the people from the plane crash. This isn't the story of the Island, Jacob, or MiB; it's the story of the 815 survivors.

I really like this idea. take a collection of characters that you want to fill out the back story for and possible expand our overall enjoyment of the show and release them as expanded webisodes, DVD specials or even 2 hour TV movies. There's plenty more that could be flushed out for characters like Libby, Charlotte/Faraday, Illana, Frank, Widemore, Dogen, Richard, Keamy, Eloise Hawking, or even Miles, Juliette or some others that were featured for a few seasons but could benefit from some additional insight.

There's so many characters and such a rich back story for each that there's a lot of stories that could be told after the finale but still be meaningful.

I want to see a Vincent-centric episode. During Season 1, one of the rumors about the season finale was that there would be some flashbacks for Vincent. I thought a really cool twist would be if there was something really important that happened in the cargo hold of Oceanic 815 just before it crashed. Something that would change your perception of what was going on on the Island. But the only one who would have seen it was....Vincent, because he was locked up in the cargo hold during the flight. But of course, he can't tell anyone about what he saw because he's a dog.

Hmmmm....I guess that's a little cliche. "The one person/animal who saw the event that's the key to everything can't communicate what he saw." I assume there's something about that on TVTropes.
