I voted Excellent.

Another great episode this season. The highlight was obviously the flash forwards, featuring all the reunions and revelations. Reunions aren't always done well but here, they managed to do so. The island scenes were all set-ups but the final scene (along with the score) was terrific. I cannot wait for the finale.

I'm not upset there's no new episode next week though. I'm going to see Indiana Jones.

Why weren't Sun and Jin more angry to see Michael again? Don't they know he murdered Ana-Lucia and Libby? I know they weren't there on the Pala Ferry for the betrayal scene, but Hurley told everybody what happened. Or did word about Michael's presence get to the beach off-screen? Because the Camp Locke group knew but they didn't meet Team Jack until Sawyer came across them this episode which was after Sun and Jin were gone.

This one was verging on 'excellent', but I'm gonna give it an 'above average'. An excellent 'above average'. How about that? :p It was a great first part to the long awaited finale. I look at this as the real "beginning of the end".

One thing really pissed me off though. Parts of the episode were pixelated and the video even cut out for almost a minute when Sayid met up with Nadia. I also didn't get Sun's full response to the reporter's question. I'm gonna have to download the episode and catch the little bits I missed.

As for the rest...

- I knew the episode would start off with the 6 on the plane.

- I was wondering what the media circus would look like for several months now and I was happy to finally see it. It wasn't as crazy as I imagined it would be, but it was big and satisfying. No "cheap" there.

- I liked the music we got at the end just before Ben went in.

- I can't wait 'til next week when hopefully all my questions will be answered. This 'Oceanic 6' business has been a fantastic ride.

I gave it an Above Average. It was basically setup, but entertaining setup. I suspect the whole three hours will get an Excellent from me if this keeps up.

Wow, what an awesome episode. Every single bit was frelling awesome.

The Oceanic 6 flashforwards were great, from the tearful reunions (I loved how Hurley ushered Sayid over to his family to share the love), Sayid and Nadia finally find each other, Sun completely and utterly owning her father, the beginning of Hurley's descent into Island madness (whispers!), and Jack's sudden discovery that Claire is his long lost half-sister (how soap operatic!). Plus: Michelle Forbes!

Looks like my motorboat theory from last week has been proven wrong and with the Six separated in four different locations, I'm really puzzled how the hell those six are the ones who are going to leave. I love a great mystery! :D

One of the best moments was Michael being reunited with Jin and Sun, particularly when Michael was desperately trying to explain himself and asked Sun to translate. Oops, Jin understood! :o

Lastly, I have two great avatar ideas for this week. :D

Sun walked out of the compartment containing all of the explosives, while Jin remained inside. Why do I get a sense of impending doom here?

It was nice to finally see Alpert re-appear on the Island again. I guess that Other lookout at the top of the mountain was sitting on top of the Temple Station?

Well, now we know that Kearny's dead man switch is just to blow up the Kahana. I was hoping for something more sexy like a nuclear missile :(

So: Kate and Sayid held captive by Albert
Jack (and Sawyer and Lapidus) on way to Orchid
Sun and Aaron (and Jin and Desmond and Michael) on the Kahana
Hurley (and Locke) waiting outside the Orchid

A sense? I'm sure doom is around the corner. :p

Above average. Good set up. See you all in two weeks!

There is something I found funny that I forgot to mention... We saw a shot of a pregnant Sun, then they cut to her dad talking to some people saying "I don't know who did this, but they used at least 5 banks!" Get it? Pregnant Sun... Don't know who did it... They used at least 5 [sperm] banks...

:guffaw:

Wow, for an episode that was all about setting up the pieces, this was a mighty fine episode. Very well done with a few nice twists and turns. The flash-forward stuff was very nice and heart-wrenching in places, especially when Jack learns about Claire.

I voted above average because it's only 1/3 of the story and there was alot of setup, albiet, very well done setup.

Nice to see Alpert again. Also nice to see the Oceanic 6 completely seperated and in many different locations just two hours away from when they'll end up together.

Man, it's going to be a looooong two weeks until that next episode.

By the way, I wonder how much they got as a settlement. It must have been an obscene amount if Sun can buy a majority of her dad's company.

So Sun said two people were responsible for her and Jin being on Oceanic 6, her dad and...who?

I'm assuming Sun was already obscenely rich because of her dad, and the O6 settlement was that much more to put her over the top.

By the way, I wonder how much they got as a settlement. It must have been an obscene amount if Sun can buy a majority of her dad's company.

I was wondering about this bit. Either her dad's company ain't that big or Oceanic is bankrupt. The first scenario is the most likely case. I mean we never actually saw the scale of her dad's company. There is no reason to think it's a Samsung size corporation. Afterall it could just be a 50 to 100 million dollar operation.

Also, going off my extensive financial knowledge thanks to Arrested Development, the CEO of a company will have his family all be major stockholders so that together they control a majority share. So Sun would already have had a large percentage of Paik Industries' total stock.

So Sun said two people were responsible for her and Jin being on Oceanic 6, her dad and...who?

I got the idea early on that Sun was mad at Jack, but then I dismissed it. Maybe, she blames him for Jin's death. Or it could be Juliet.

On the subject of Juliet, they have kinda been downplaying her since the surgery. She shows up to bagger Jack about his stitches and off she goes.

Speaking of Jack, how could he be running around the bush like that so soon after an appendectomy? From what I've seen in real life, people who've had their appendix out can't even laugh or cough after an opperation let alone walk around. I guess it's just one of those things you have to accept for television.
