Just when you might actually have received your copy of issue 18 (and again, apologies to all those affected by the distribution problems on that one!) issue 19 of Star Trek Mag is heading towards the newsstands.
Although the movie is the primary focus still, there's quite a bit of TrekLit, with an extract from Bill Leisner's Losing the Peace, introduced by the man himself, as well as a detailed interview with Alan Dean Foster looking at the writing of the novelisation. Plus we catch up with reviews, with Turnaround, Troublesome Minds, Vanguard: Open Secrets, Losing the Peace and the novelisation plus a load of IDW comics (including a few that have yet to hit the stands - thanks to Scott Dunbier and the team at IDW for providing upfront copies). Margaret Clark also tells us about the hardback special edition of the novelisation and there's a preview of Spock Reflections and Nero issue 1.
The rest of the mag is filled with movie goodness, with interviews with Eric Bana, Clifton Collins Jnr, Bob Orci & Alex Kurtzman, DOP Dan Mindel, stunt coordinator Joey Box, costume designer Michael Kaplan - with 10 pages of original designs reproduced at full page size - composer Michael Giacchino, the second part of Chris Doohan's onset diary and much more... Oh, and a load of reaction from TrekLit authors to the new film...
It's another bumper size issue, and subscribers should be getting it ahead of the official newsstand date of 22nd June in the US, early July in the UK.
