It wouldn't get the sort of attention TNG did, it's not financially viable.
Erm, yes, obviously. That's the whole point. It would need the same level of attention that TNG got to make it worth buying, but they won't give it that attention because they don't believe enough people will buy the finished product. My point was, in the unlikely even that they ever did do it, you wouldn't be picking it up for £80.
As I don't have the DVD's it would only have to be a cleaned up, uncompressed, skilfully 'tweaked' product to sell it to me. At the right price...
That's also never going to happen. The DVDs are out and that's likely all you're getting. They're not going to do some half-arsed "tweak" of the existing DVD set because, again, no-one would buy it. Most people would see it as a money grabbing tactic to try and lure in the Blu-ray hold-outs, and others, like yourself, would be waiting for it to hit "the right price" which may never come.
