Looks like DS9 will not get Blu Ray

    I thought all Blu-Ray was region free. Isn't it just DVDs that are region specific?

    Nope, Blurays are Region A, B and C. Some players can manage multiregion, but most are locked.

    A growing number of Blurays are not region coded thesedays.

    Mainly the ones you don't want...

    Your best bet for a multiregion Blu-ray player is to find a model that's available both in the UK and Australia, get the UK version and put the Australian firmwear on it. I bought the Toshiba BDX1200 years ago for peanuts, downloaded the Aussie firmware and hey presto. . . .Machine is noisy as hell when playing a disc, but it will play anything.

    Nice looking machine asthetically, but a crazy price. You're effectively paying about £140 for a bit of soldering.
