Looking forward to Hogwarts Legacy?

It's really good so far, seems to be a big game I've put 6 hours into it and don't even have my broom yet - runs really smoothly too - spotted a couple of small bugs but nothing Earth shattering, would recommend checking it out if you haven;t already.

I'm playing this on Performance mode on PS5, and it looks frigging AMAZING. They put so much detail into Hogwarts and Hogsmeade it looks just like the movie  Also, a few times my girlfriend walked in she thought I was watching a movie the graphics were so good.

Yeah it is truly beautiful, I've been playing it a while not and I've noticed it struggle a few times - not to the point it breaks the game but it's definitely noticeable, this on a series X - makes me wonder how the previous generation is going to cope, and really why they're bothering with it at all at this point.

Really well made game. 10 hours in and Ricky Spanish has sure made a big difference to the people at Hogwarts.
My only gripe are the assignment missions which are pretty dull and i wish there were more missions where you were paired up with another student,
I've learned most of the spells but I can't seem to find Lavate Las Manos anywhere. Must be a hidden spell.

Just started (PS5).

Yeah. Having flicked through the different modes, this is one rare occasion I might be happy to play in any mode. Performance mode is buttery smooth with impressive graphics, while fidelity mode looks great and the 30FPS is surprisingly smooth.

Ray tracing looks like it takes a slight performance hit relative to standard fidelity mode. I didn't have ray tracing on long enough to properly asssess it - it's a bit of a pain having to reboot the game to flick between ray tracing and standard. So far as standard fidelity and performance, the main difference I see is in lighting implementation and shadow quality. It makes for an improved picture, but performance looks so good I'm not sure I see the need to sacrifice FPS - not often I say that as someone who values fidelity / graphics quality.

I'm encouraged there has been a delay to the last-gen version, if only that it suggests the effort went into the current-gen implementation (rather than it playing like an upgraded last-gen game).

Three hours in, it's great so far.

I'm using my character from a multi-author fanfiction project I created and led for awhile (it went 735 chapters, 110 of them mine). Seemed appropriate.
