Looking forward to Hogwarts Legacy?

I've been following this one for a while, I've even pre-ordered the deluxe version so I can get 72 hours early access and took the time off work to play it for a bit.

Looks absolutely incredible and apparently you can be as good or evil as you want. Anyone else have it ordered/planning to play?

I probably wouldn't be interested if it were just me - I like Harry Potter (just seen the films) but it's never been my thing. My partner however is a mad HP fan and wants to get it regardless of reviews / reception. She was going to wait a bit before purchasing, but her birthday's just over a week away so thought I'd surprise her with a pre-order receipt! :D

While I've mulled over whether or not to get it I've had a chance to watch the gameplay footage. Pretty impressive.

I do hope it feels properly next-gen; we are slowly pulling away from the cross-gen era but boy, it's been a long grind (apologies to prev. gen console owners).

Being able to go evil definitely perks my interest.

I plan to burst into the Kitchen and cast Incendio on all the slave Elves, just when they thing they've suffered enough I'm going to cast Crucio on them - then as a final blow I'm going to cast Imperius on them and make them smack each other about.

Ucchhh... never been much good at that. Even when I did Evil playthroughs of Fallout 3, I usually got that way by enslaving raiders. It was always funny, hearing Three Dog call me horrible names like Reaver and Defiler and Evil Incarnate, then mention me saving a town or finding an orphaned kid a new home.

Probably the same here... I'll be the ultimate good guy, at least first time through.

No Quidditch no HP, at least for me.

Besides i have so many games on my PC i would have to go on a sabbatical year to play and finish them all, so i try to put on the brakes a bit when it comes to new games and only get those i am really hot for.

Quidditch might be tough to properly choreograph, especially if they want to make it possible to play all seven positions, and put all four balls in play. The version of it in Hogwarts Mystery is pretty lame.

Big downside of digital downloads... there probably won't be any midnight cosplay parties. I remember picking up Books 4 through 7 that way.

Some people already have their physical copies, I bought delux digital for the 3 day early access too :wah:

So it turns out the early release on the 7th isn’t until 6pm, thats disappointing. I took the day off work to play it.

No way my bosses would have let me do that. We're too short of people. It's great for job security, though.

Having to resist temptation to watch gameplay vids on YouTube... I want to go in without spoilers.

I didn't get Book 4 that way, I did get Books 5 to 7 that way, plus the first couple of script books that way.

I also worked the midnight release for Books 6, 7, CC and FB.
